I say it every time that Vai gets shown but man can you see the Zappa in him. He really learned from the best and became his own.

You speaking facts. Saw him a time or two with Frank. Prob picked up a thing or two from David Lee Roth also. Not neglecting his own joy of playing.

He is a Legend Period! There are so many amazing guitar players that play fire… but he is on a whole other level!! Saw him live and even met him. He is so incredibly confident on stage and so incredibly humble when you talk with him. You can always hear his Zappa influence in his songs, which adds a completely different level of complexity. Do yourself a favor and see him in person….you will be blown away!!!!

that reaction is the combo of Epicness ✌️😎👍 Steve Vai's "Knappsack" is also awesome, he plays all with 1 hand

You owe it to yourselves as musicians to do the opening tune from this show. . “Now we run”. Shows what the strings can do. Thanx for these gr8 reactions.

I totally agree. I think “Now we run” may be one of the if not the finest recorded performance ever. This is next level pros doing their thing with a rock god to lead them.

I love Steve Vai, he's been my favorite guitarist for a while now,but he can make me chringe once in awhile,lol.First time I've heard this, I'm pretty sure this is the show from Minneapolis.I had a channel react to Now we run from this same show, that's really a good song, you would really like that

Check out Angel Food from the same show to see Ann Marie and Alex shine more with the band. Their solo section is called Apples in Paradise which also a must watch. I saw this show in L.A., one of my absolute favorites in my 40 years of concerts. I saw Dream Theater's The Astonishing show at this venue. Our New World shows another side of Dream Theater from that tour.

You need to hear Steve Vai's Knappsack, his new song where he plays with one hand.
@littlemudlost3 жыл бұрын
On your own time check knapsack. Since he's just had both hands operated on so it's all played with one hand

Steve can be silly. People who have met him (my brother, back stage) say, he really is a genuine, very nice dude. Now...take all the show away....the guitar....he is in a league of very few. Stevie Ray...will always be my favorite but...this man is known as one of the best ever. For a reason
