When I worked as an inspector of temporary accommodation for homeless people, the worst property by far was that of 1st generation Indian and Bangladeshi landlords. They come from countries with much lower average standards of accommodation. There you go 'I said it'. Why does this presenter think that is bigotry I wonder? Wretched sanctimony.

I’d have said it, there’s indeed diversity only birds of a feather flock together. The group dynamics dictate the culture and diversity. I don’t believe by saying you don’t want to live amongst a culture you personally don’t identify with is racist, the caller clearly points out that particular ethnic groups don’t give two hoots about their personal accommodation anymore than the ethnic minority that’s letting does. The original indigenous population of London with the exception of wealthy people have all gone to Essex, rich areas of London won’t become ghettos, if you have a rich African footballer move in next door I’m sure you’d prefer a rich banker just for balance, money doesn’t by class and cultural status.
