I always heard people who have met Steve Say that he is a generous, humble and good human. Like most people I always prayed and wished that I would meet my favorite songbird and then it happened. Who would have ever thought. I met Steve at a private event in October 2019 called Mammos & Mimosas in Providence Rhode Island. Yep the man is a total package. He told us stories, we laughed, we sang a little, we asked him questions and then we were able to talk to him one on one for a little bit and take photos. I fell in love with Steve all over again just like I did when I was 16 in 1977/78. Yep October 2019 still the best day ever!

I have no clue how I missed this. I am hoping Steve comes back again to Providence. You were incredibly lucky to have been there. Happy for you. When I read comments like yours it makes me proud to have been a fan for 46 years. Did you go to the Journey concerts at the Civic Center in the 80s? I saw Steve with them in 81 and 86. Just fantastic nights to remember.

The "Ifs" and "maybes" would have changed things for him and the group as well as for us as fans. Maybe If Herbie hadn't pushed them as hard as he did and maybe if they were given breaks to enjoy life, they wouldn't have been burnt out. Especially after they become popular. Maybe more family time would have helped with relationships and less divorces and apologizes to the family. If it there was more fun and connection outside of writing and preforming? You have to not only enjoy your job but the secret to loving it is the people you work with the atmosphere of the work place and the desire to be together. I sense friction and resentment, being overworked and the lack of closeness, drained them emotionally The group maybe didn't see it but Steve did and he had to stop. He found peace and I am happy for him.

Steve Perry, you may never see this comment but if you think about it, you left us (your fans) like your father left you. You used to sing to us every day, through our radios, TVs, albums, tapes, and cds, and then you just left and didn't look back. I know it was necessary for you to do it for yourself, and we're glad you're "still here" but like your father leaving you took something from you and you still feel that pain to this day, your leaving and not coming back did something to us. It broke our hearts. But, you said "a heart is never truly full of love until it's been broken", or something like that. We're just ever so glad you're back! 🤗🤗 The feeling you probably have imagined over and over about seeing your father returning back into your life is the joyous feeling we have over you coming back AND singing once again. If you ever do another concert, rest assured, I will be in the front row giving you a distant hug! Thank you so much for keeping Kellie's promise and not staying away again! We'll be forever grateful that she came into your life! ❤❤😊😊😊🥰

I was thinking WOW as well... but also... John needs to look inside of himself as those things you judge in others are the very thing one dislikes within themselves... very sad only. In this time of ascension judgment is something we need not afford. “He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother.... “ I never had his fame, however I have been an ass at times... perhaps not intentionally... love you brother
