An exquisite rearrangement. I love the original version but the space in this, and the musicianship that fills it, is freakin' incredible. Back in the high life again! I have been put on the shores of life again. I can see daylight and the sun warms me once more. I can ride the rainbow of good times. Like all the rest! The fog is lifting and my mind is clear to think and act on the issues at hand. The Lord is my pilot he guides me to the greener pastures. This song is very hopeful. It helps you threw the dark days until you start to believe in yourself. Thank you Steve Winwood for your Awesome song. You are not selfish with your music and your words. Shawn

oh my you just made me remember a lot of stuff from back in the day...winterland came after Filmore West...I lived in Illinois but had a sis who lived in San Fran and went out to visit her every year...hence I got to go to the FW and W...I have nothing but great memories of those venues...I got to sit 10 feet away from the stage at the Kinetic Playground when Led Zeppelin played there...back in the late 1960s...1969...I lived in a suburb of Chicago and every Friday I filled my 1968 Mustang with friends and we went to the concerts (back then the tickets were just 5 bucks) and it was one of the best times of my young life (my brother Kerry (who died in September 1999) was my wingman and protector...we loved the concerts...I went to Woodstock in 1969 at 17 got grounded but it was worth it I miss Kerry big time...he accidently pulled his refrigerator over on him and was trapped under and died...IT BROKE MY HEART AND TO THIS DAY.....I HAVE NOT GOTTEN OVER LOSING HIM THAT WAY... needless ...all of you...love each other, take care of each other...follow the rules for this pandemic stuff...and stay safe and well....please please stay safe and well...and VOTE IN NOVEMBER TO REMOVE THAT ABSOLUTE HORROR OF A NO-NOTHING-DO-NOTHING WANNABE OUT OF OUR WHITE HOUSE!!! PLEASE...SAVE OUR COUNTRY AND PUT PEOPLE IN WHO ARE THERE FOR US...OK?

Saw Winwood at Red Rocks, 2016 playing "Can't Find My Way Home," in the pouring blowing-wind thunderstorm. He opened for Steely Dan. We the audience persisted, waiting for the sudden hail to stop pouring (while holding our hands over our heads). After it stopped and the threat of more lightening had ceased, most of us returned to our wet rock seats. What better arens to dance to Winwood? Even the icey hard baptism by Red Rocks that night was perfect (until I couldn't find my car). I finally saw Winwood in concert, and I learned that Steely Dan was another great band I'd never heard of. hope all who wish to are able to enjoy such an experience during the human lifetime.
