One of my favorite tunes! Jamel, you are great man! So much fun to see you reacting to these tunes. Reminds me of when i went off to school and my buds taught me about Steely Dan and Led Zeppelin. And I taught them about Average White Band and New Orleans music. Keep em coming! Here's a few to consider. The Meters (aka The Neville Brothers) album: Rejuvenation song: People Say (New Orleans funk) song: Hey Pocky Way (New Orleans dancin in the street music) Jeff Beck album: blow by blow song: Cause we've ended as lovers (you GOT to hear this!) All Led Zeppelin is good, but do album: houses of the holy song: The Crunge (Led Zep tribute to James Brown) All Steely Dan is good, but do album: The Nightfly song: IGY album: katy lied song: Chain Lightning Love ya man!! Peace! Elliot

Although it was 32 years ago, I am 5'7 and he was shorter than me or it seemed he was. Of course he was with his then pregnant wife and she is like 6'5. We were on the stairs going out of the hotel and were going to his car and maybe the stairs were distorting his height to me. He was incredibly nice and gracious and told his manager to make sure I had a ticket waiting for me for the show. It was an awesome open to the tour. I will never forget it. It was at the amphitheater.

Now you know the magic of Steve Windwood. I was a kid in the 60s. I was a music lover at a young age. From the Spencer Davis Group, Blind Faith and as a solo act, Steven Windwood is a true talent.

I'm chair-dancing! This is like Motown, Blues and Pop had a baby. I've always loved this song - if you can't get up and move with this one, you just can't.

I love to see how much you enjoy this song and Steve Winwood in general! I have been a fan since I first heard his earlier music with Traffic. I would love to see you listen to “Valerie”. Steve Winwood is amazing! You put a big smile on my face. Back in high school in the late 80’s had I mentioned that I love Steve Winwood I would be seen as a nerd. Well I’m a proud nerd! 🤓

I love your explanation of how you listen to music. I grew up in the late 70s and revisiting some of the music I thought was just ok, with your attitude, brings me to a level of appreciation for what I’m hearing as a person in my 50s, rather than a teenager. Thanks for everything you do!

I've been known to pull over on the highway, turn the tunes up and get out and dance on the side of the road!!! I love Steve's voice!!! I grew up wqith the fabulous, best ever music - the 60's!!! Back when it was sheer raw talent, not al the dancers and fluff, no synthesized crap.

Jamel- check out “ I’m A Soul Man” by Sam and Dave and you’ll hear what I believe to be an influence on Steve. Also “ Shotgun” by Junior Walker and the Allstars. Soul classics.

I love your comments that you bring in your videos. Whether it be a personal perspective or just telling how much you like a song and why, it makes this more like friends getting together for music, other than just a reaction.
