My 3 favorite captains... Steve Yzerman Scott Stevens Joe Sakic These were true leaders. Basically when Yzerman told the fans to make up for the harsh ovation that Scotty got, he was saying it from the heart. He was telling the fans that as the captain, you WILL give Scotty a nice ovation. If you didn’t give an ovation Yzerman would not like that.

@@ohhhhh6269 Ask the majority of hockey fans and scott stevens name will come up as dirty he ended Lindros career. He hit people when they weren't looking. In todays nhl he be kicked out or suspended probably the season with those hits. He was known for that. Not saying he wasn't a leader. But I never remembered him being even close to Yzerman. If anyone on the devils was a leader it was Martin B. I don't even remember stevens scoring big goals. So what exactly did he do that was so great? Not being a dick, just wondering. Oh ya and lighten up a little bit! It was my opinion dawg!! Some people!!!
