This is the first episode of many where I showcase my favourite games for a retro system that I believe have aged very well...
For example I love Elite however I feel if I didn’t grow up with it I would probably struggle to get into it today.
Please feel free to comment your favourite Commodire Amiga games as I’m trying to achieve the ultimate Amiga games collection, your input means a lot.

@@Sinisteve haha. Kick Off 2 took so much skill to master. I loved that game. I miss the Amiga. I spent a whole year nagging my dad to buy me one. I even had a poster of an Amiga in be bedroom so, everytime my dad or mom entered I immediately put on my sad face as to show them how miserable I was for not having an Amiga. Haha. I did that the whole year until school finished and my grades allowed me to have one. The first day I played until 3 am which was The Thing as I was a little kid. I know it's a stupid story but I think it was the happiest day of my childhood. Great memories. Also, KK2 IS the best! :p Cheers mate

@@greenkitty82 Yes, and with he world as it is now, I bet it brings back great times! I have an Amiga 600 and 1200 back in England with 100s of discs and games both copied and originals! StayCoolKeto I have the cartoon classics Amiga 500+ that came with lemmings but my absolute favourite game is the secret of Monkey Island. I had so much fun with the console and that game (and the early 90s always seemed more care free and simple) that I stood firm that I would never part with it as it's important to cherish things that make you really happy. I'm looking to track down some old games I did part with overtime to relive some memories but we did have a few originals in the boxes and most of the games we had were copies from the carboot sale. That was ok though as they worked fine and also saved on space so we had many to enjoy! I love seeing that people as adults still enjoy the console 😁

@@ZWGamemasterGame Because of the type of plastics they used make stuff with they always go nasty yellow so I found people on youtube talking about their brand new looking cases and people used to retrobright their keys to make them match but they eventually go back and it can lower the strength of the plastic so I just left mine, then the same people who did the case started their second campaign for new keycaps and springs, so I thought I to get some of those, the plastic will never yellow they have also improved the design of the original things like adding vents to the trapdoor metal screw holders instead of the original plastic ends up going weak, I added myself to the 2nd key-cap campaign feb 2019, they were due to be shipped in jan because they are wanting to improve the labels design from the 1st campaign, now they have been caught in the coronavirus they have been delayed even more, going to be worth it when they arrive though. I forgot to say when I brought the 1200 the guy had 2 for sale a cheaper one with 4MB memory on the accelerator card and one with 8MB, I brought the 4MB one because I was going to add the extra RAM myself but I got the 8MB card.... :O)

Really good video and very interesting to see your choices, thanks for sharing them. It’s not an easy exercise when there are so many classics on the system. The fact there’s no room for the likes of Chaos Engine, Monkey Island, Flashback, Another World, Wings, Lotus 2 etc just shows how difficult it is. Different tastes and nostalgia for different stuff means everyone would have a slightly different list and that’s what makes it so interesting I suppose. I’ve never been that keen on single screen platformers (Pang, Rodland etc), at least since Bubble Bobble on the 8-bits, so that would have freed up some room for others in mine.

@@Sinisteve Kick Off 2 and SWOS should both have been in this list. I loved both of them. One shouldn't just be excluded because of the other. You included multiple platform games for example. Cannon Fodder should have been much higher in my opinion. There was strategy to it, not just pure running and shooting as made out in your screenshots. I know you only included games you owned, but Prince of Persia and Another World should have been on this list (Syndicate also rings a bell). I can only assume you didn't own it. There are some seriously bad games on this list though. Also I can only assume you didn't like racing games as I loved OutRun, Chase HQ, and Lotus Turbo Challenge, or Microprose's Formula One Grand Prix (which I played with against my friends).
@Sinisteve

Matt Potter syndicate was on the cutting list purely because of the really juddery scrolling I don’t think it’s aged great, don’t get me wrong it’s a great game but if you didn’t grow up with it I think it’ll be a hard one to go back to... Lotus probably should’ve been on there but definitely not Outrun and Chase Hq! They were absolutely terrible ports, and I did grow up with them too, I loved the arcades back in the day and I’ve owned Chase Hq and still own an Outrun and the Amiga versions are unplayable...obviously only my opinion and if we all had the same it would be a boring world.. What bad games are on there if you don’t mind me asking?

Blaze Entertainment recently announced that they would be releasing Amiga collections for the Evercade beginning in 2023. As I don't own an Amiga this is great news for me. They've thus far released 300+ games for Evercade as part of Arcade, Computer, and Console/Handheld collections. So far this has included games for the Atari 2600, 7800, Lynx, Nintendo NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Intellivision, Sega Master System (as a hidden game on the Evercade Vs console; there're several that have been discovered thus far for various systems), Mega Drive, and Commodore 64. All cartridges are multicarts holding between 7 and 20 games each (one only has two). They have three lines of carts. Console/Handheld (Red cases), Arcade (Purple cases), and Computer (Blue cases). They are compatible with their original handheld models, the new EXP model handheld, and the Vs console. And no, I'm not a shill for Blaze, I merely collect and play the carts.
