We had a gator at the Weapons Station in Goose Creek SC. His name was Charlie. He lived in a small fenced area. He lived there only because he chose too, as he was well fed with roadkill from the Weapons Station. He was about 18’ long. Took a group of Brit dignitaries to see him as we left the area for the airport. They were all gathered near the fence only a meter or so away. I stayed back about 4 or 5 meters. They asked why, so I told them. Explained he wasn’t chained or held in that little chain link fenced area by anything but his good will. They took off like a shot!

@@TerraStory225MYA It's very easy to research the subject but yes I am in the conservation field. And as I stated only 16% are endangered species. Animals in zoo's suffer depression, anxiety, rage. They can't act on their instincts, they can't mate as they would in the wild, they can't hunt as they would and the stress of thousands of people around them all the time is very harmful. All of this is very easy to research. The stats are out there. The fact of the matter only a small portion of zoo's are actually helping species.

Crocs only die of "old age" when they lose all of their teeth and starve. To the best of our knowledge they are functionally immortal.

The people caring for that Croc must've developed a really good diet for it as well. Like the amount of times he's fed, they must've worked it out perfectly 👌
