Steve Hofstetter battles a heckler who can't seem to understand the difference between having a large family and having nineteen kids you can't afford. This mother learns she tangled with the wrong child-free comedian. The crazy part is this all happened during a comedy special - yeah, this happened during the filming of Ginger Kid.

You plant hecklers to make yourself look good. I'm certain this will be deleted and myself blocked shortly, but that's to be expected from such a little man that plays on people's psyche into thinking he's funny. Good luck! You'll really need it if you wanna be more than you are.

@@meeksource4047, it's the only way his name has gotten out there. I've seen the stand-up. Not bad, but not good enough to build the name he has as quickly as it's grown. Most of his fame is from hecklers in his crowd. An increase in fans from his heckler videos would certainly give the incentive to plant hecklers. Do I have proof? No. Does the trend of his popularity support my claim, easily enough given The Broken Lizard Group has better stand-up routines.

As someone who grew up in a nuclear family with nine kids, was homeless for 5 years, and did a disproportionate amount of the cooking and cleaning at home, I 100% agree with Steven. Having kids when you can't afford it is irresponsible and cruel, especially to the kids.

Yes, that's right Kam Mueller, agree with you, however it is NOT a comedian's responsibility to do the bouncer's or club manager's job. Do you think Seinfeld or Sebastian Maniscalco put up with a club that allows people to disrupt their show? No! As you gain experience you learn to put policies in place to avoid big confrontations with drunks. A little bantering is fine, but if it gets where it is interrupting the audience it is not and time for that person to leave. All experienced comics know this and they wouldn't step foot in a club that didn't do their job and expect them to do it for them. At the beginning of their careers perhaps but that is out of naivety and ignorance and sometimes lack of self-respect.

That's comedy in a nutshell. I know people that have been raped, beaten by their partners e.t.c. yet fully understand what a comedy show is. And what it might (probably) will entail. And they can still have a good laugh. Also, nothing wrong with getting offended. Just as long as you are able to control yourself and wipe it away from your mind. Not start a fight with a comedian because he didn't ask everyone in the audience to write down their life stories so he could go through each and every person to allow him to rule out all the jokes that might offend people.

@MexicanTeTe
@MexicanTeTe 18 күн бұрын
@CorrectionUnknown Babysitting your one little sibling occasionally isn't the same as having to clothe, feed, and care for 18 other kids. That's child neglect at that point. The only way those size families function is that the parents delegate their own daily responsibilities down to the older children, which robs those children of the experience of being kids themselves. The Duggars were that kind of family, and they were so neglectful and so unable to parent all of the children they irresponsibly produced that they continued to leave their younger children under the care of an older brother who molested them allegedly even after they knew about it. Because free domestic labor/babysitting for the parents is more important than their kids well being at that point.

@@thedudeamongmengs2051 , I don't think you understand what constitutes a "conservative". I'm conservative but I don't think people should pop out children solely for the purpose of getting a larger check. Then you end up with one baby momma with 4 different baby daddies, and then you end up with several generations of dysfunctional children who can't even figure out what sex they are. In theory everyone can't pay for all these welfare children, and the ones not having children so the welfare mothers can have more should be respected. Instead they paint people out who want limits set on something as this is somehow their fault, and all rational discussion on any subject pretty much goes out the window. Especially with the selective outrage and hypocrisy you see exhibited daily by all the leftists,slash commie wannabes. It's a problem, which is why most people moved to the suburbs to begin with, nobody wants to talk about that subject either.

In past millennia, when maternal mortality approached 50%, polygamy made sense. When infant mortality was 50% and more children meant more farm hands, many of whom would die from trauma or infections, "be fruitful and multiply" made sense. Today, what makes sense is either effective birth control, or visiting a sperm bank then sterilization. Or sterilization, then adoption. We have an enormous surplus of people, and shortages of resources.

Its funny when all you liberals get upset, which is all the time because ya'll are offended by EVERYTHING. But facts are facts! Liberals are the ones getting all that welfare money, not conservatives. I'm from Mississippi (GO TRUMP), which isn't one of the richer states but the reason a lot of people in MS are on welfare isn't because they are conservative, it's black liberals that live off the government! Also states like California are going bankrupt because they give all their money to illegals and homeless people to buy more drugs lol. Liberals are by far the dumbest, plus they are all pussies and cowards. It's almost like they don't have any common sense lol.

I used to go to the Comedy Store in Hollywood on Sunday nights to watch Sam Kinison try out new material. The funniest night of my life was when a heckler in the crowd decided to try Sam. I was on the floor in a fetal position trying to get air into my lungs from laughing. I saw a documentary on Kinison where Dennis Miller (i believe) was talking about a night where Sam went off - he said that he knew he would never laugh that hard again during his life. From the description, he was talking about the night I'm talking about. A brilliant comedian will not have the heckler removed, that person will become the center of the comedy, without even realizing it and will eventually pass out from alcohol or shut up because they're getting the worst of it. I've never seen it pay to be a heckler.

The point was whether or not the comedian would win. Odds aren't in their favor. It's quick thinking versus preparedness, and comedians normally have everything worked out before they get on stage. Actually, since most comedians can't handle hecklers then if people start thinking hecklers should get owned by comedians this expectation will harm comedians. It will both stop the show as the comedian is expected to deal with them and lose them cred when they can't.

As an oldest child in a family with 9 kids, I absolutely resent my parents for having kids they couldn't afford or look after. We looked forward to welfare food boxes every week and lived off very basic food like noodles. Having to walk the groceries home with mum from a far distance. It might not be a crime to have lots of kids but you're bloody selfish if you do, in my opinion. I never had a childhood and was mum up until I had to cut my siblings off just to have my own life. I had to leave school early to get a job at 15 during school hours to help feed everyone, and I shared a bed with two other kids till I was 16. It's just not fair to have kids you can't afford, whether that be 2 or 20.

If we do receive welfare from the church, it comes at a cost, typically a member has to sacrifice luxuries like cable or internet, cut their own excessive expenditures, before welfare from the church is received. Just because a religion is focused on families and raising large ones, does not mean their being negligent of the responsibilities that come with it. I am slightly ashamed to say I'd consider heckling my favorite comedians just to get torn apart by them. Some of the funniest stuff they say is on the spot. I'd sacrifice a little self respect and embarrassment for a good laugh every once in a while.

Comedy should have no limits. I'm grateful for "inappropriate" humor because I have the right to have it.

"Miss, you can get offended all you want, but were you offended by other stuff, or just what applied to you?" "Because if you want to get offended, don't cherry pick this shit" These two sentences are what every person that cries after being offended over a joke needs to hear.
