I always look forward to your videos, great photography and videography always, beautiful Animals and Scenery in almost every single video. And one of the most Humble KZbinrs out there, who clearly very much appreciates and doesn’t take for granted what you get to do regularly. Great work Steve 👍🏻

“Pretty good stuff” is a tremendous understatement! Those elk shots are lifetime classics and the sort of stuff that brings me back to the Tetons year after year. Thanks.

So many people are in a rush to drive around that area, I don't understand it! There's so much that you miss if you go too fast. The 3 elk lined up perfectly is a really cool shot! How do you know how much water your lens can handle before the weather sealing starts to fail? That's a lot of money to push the limits on!
@SteveMattheis3 күн бұрын
I don’t know the limit because I have never had a problem. They are built to tolerate some nasty weather.

Hi Steve! I met you at Cattlemans Bridge a few years ago and we took a selfie! I was there last month ago and saw a small elopement while I was leaving. I got some great photos with my 400 2.8 through the trees and the Snake River was sucked up into the background like only a telephoto can do. I do weddings here in Southern California. I went back to the parking area to show them and found out they were both wedding photographers themselves so I sent the Raws as a gift. Love Cattlemans Bridge. I've never seen the water so low you could walk to the Island. Great video! Take care and maybe I'll get to run into you again! Kevin

Question: how far away from your car were the bull elk that you shot? This is always difficult to tell on video due to focal lengths. Awesome outing!
@robertdupcak31623 күн бұрын
Enjoyable as always! How do you avoid heat distortion when shooting from the car? Seems like it could be worse on rainy days when you have to keep the windows up (hence the inside air and lens is warmer).

Hey Steve, love your videos. I live in Tetonia and absolutely love the fact I recognize a lot of the areas you shoot in. I totally love living up here in God's country. I do have one question though. Could you share what kind of beanbag that is you use to stabilize shooting from your car window? I've found some, but nothing that looks to be the quality of the one you use. Thanks in advance and I look forward to future videos. Have an awesome day.

Always enjoy your videos Steve! I was wondering what precautions you take with your camera/lens during the rain? I have the Z8 with the 600PF and always worry about it possibly getting damaged. What's your thoughts on that?
