I'm sure Steve had a minor panic attack and had to go to Texas when he got the call about the metal because if it blew up 2nd pass there would be a TON of backlash about his business that he doesn't need, especially since the engines already been run in the wagon. Look what happened to Fasterproms when people found out he fired George, terrible reviews and now gone from youtube lol He definitely does take pride in his engines though and i'm sure has an attachment to this one after all he's been through with it lmao

Steve Morris is such an amazing guy!! This is exceptional professionalism from Steve to go to Tx2K to support his engine. It’s crazy that the SMX wants to be in the 6’s so easily. When you plan for 6’s it’s hard to detune for such a slow number in only a couple passes of tuning from Pete with a brand new build. I’m glad nothing bad has been found in the engine. It’s also cool Steve filmed the cars that have his engines in them with information while he was there. I love learning from Steve, and I can’t wait to see Mullet get new PB’s with the SMX and Pete’s tuning.

The block is done. You can hone it you can sleeve it you can Weld it. Structural failure is inevitable eventually especially building drag engines. To make it right give him a new block. Start over. It happens to the best of us dude! So don't make it a big deal. When you're producing so many motors one or two is bound to fail out of the hundreds that you built. Steve don't sweat it bro chill. You build the fastest engines on the planet. So thank you. You're an outstanding individual and that shines through and through.
