@E!. Box ; Thank You for this compilation including the judges' interviews, reviews, comments and voting along with the public social media that brought him back for the QF and then he continued to the SF also. [four performances; Great Exposure!!] Though, He was not appreciated enough, he did not make it to the Finals. At least in 2018, Shin Lim made it, who has amazing magic talent, presence, performance, expertise and production. If Stephen had some more development or adviser to improve this, he would have gone further. The AGT staff could not be of assistance for a magician, maybe an illusionist, but they already have their own development involved as other illusionists have shown on AGT, BGT. It is actually quite amazing Mat Franco won in 2014 and Shin Lim in 2018 as magicians. The 2018 top two were Shin and Zurcoroh, a young people, dance group [Tyra's GB (and France GT 2017 GB and runner-up too.)], though all judges' GB's were singers. Actually, though the AGT system has improved from its original format and has five rounds of performances in front of audiences; three live [QF, SF, F[, they still need some improvements. One additional is a change in the Judges' Cut Round to view all of the acts, then decide, rather than group them and decide on a portion of each group. Similarly, each round should be an overall voting of all of the acts, not split into groups. An obvious overall improvement would be making categories, since there is no actual comparison of a musician to a magician or a dancer, except within their own category. One can evaluate a performer within their own category and make a relative comparison to say this performer is a 9/10 in magic and this performer is a 8.5 or 9.5 or 9 /10 in dance or music or singing or each talent. However, these recent years have brought so many highly talented people in each category it seems it has been overdue to make a change. Obviously money is an issue. However, they can keep it all under one show instead of it becoming separate shows. It will actually expand the entire show into a bigger set of events that will have more draw in every aspect; talent, viewers, sponsors, etc.

@Pei Yang ; Stephen IS a Winner. He was not The show winner, but a winner in and of and from and through the show. See his site, his channel and videos. He states how much he continues to benefit from being a SF performer on AGT. Also, see how much his invented magic of Rubick's Cube is being done, which he sells! Many magicians on AGT and BGT and elsewhere are using it! Stephen has grown as a performer too, and continues to grow and develop. Did You see Stephen's performance on Penn & Teller Fool Us, which he was awarded the "Fooled Us" trophy?! This also gave him a performance in P&T's Las Vegas Show. How great that is, to be recognized by the best and perform there too! For a magician, that is greater than a win on AGT, correct!

Well I think I figured out ONE of the tricks.. At 8:30 if you look just before he does the switch, noticed you can see three sides of the cube and incidentally, you can see exactly three colors as well. Blue yellow and orange. The OTHER 3 sides that are out of view are already solved. He flips the cube to the side that looks entirely "solved" and then mixes it up without letting you get a glance at the back to see it's still mixed. Still mind blowing coordination to get it just so.

@newtonfirefly35845 жыл бұрын
@Ari Rabe ; Stephen Brundage appeared on P&T after AGT and was awarded a "Fooled Us"! As Stephen said in his audition he is the only magician doing this [then]. He initiated and invented this magic. Within just two + years, this magic has spread [probably via him].

I notice that if you looks carefully on 3.12 you will see that it was quite different compare on 4.14 to 4.21 when he showed all 6 sides of the cube, I think he had 3 cubes in the bag, he switched the third cube which was inside and give back to Simon, the third cube was recognized before the show started , so he used this weak spot to deceive the judges He makes all the audiences believe that the cube he gave back to Simon it was belonged to Simon I am sorry about my bad English. Actually I love this guy so much because of his magic cube performance, I have watched his trick so many times and I still love it This comment is just my opinion

On the second act, he must of had every card in the cube and he ripped them all in the same way and just memorized where everyone was
@TheNightowl0015 жыл бұрын
There are only 26 "cubes" that make up a Rubik's cube, and the 6 center ones aren't removable like the corner piece he removed and took apart to reveal the card corner. So he couldn't have "had every card in the cube."

This man is amazing and should have won. I know there’s a logical explanation behind all of this, but I think it’s incredible anyways. He probably lost to some terrible singer who thought they were good at something. I bet it was a girl aged somewhere between 9 and 18 years old doing a pop song which hurt the judges ears, but they let her win anyways because Americans have no decent taste in music.
@newtonfirefly35845 жыл бұрын
@Handsome Robot Productions ; Correct, Stephen's magic is unique, he initiated it, invented it. He may not have the big production, show that others have, but his talent actually supersedes other's, including their magic/illusion/mentalist abilities. To create a new magic and perform it, is FAR above, but not necessarily view or appreciated. Stephen did step up his show and production as he went along. You probably know, the 2016 winner is Grace Vanderwaals, who was 12 yrs. old, a singer, songwriter, musician-ukulele. She is cute, adorable, lovely and sings well though not amazing [yet]. She does write her own songs though, and not singing covers or interpretations of other artists. Most are not aware nor value the level of creativity nor complexity nor ingenuity nor practice involved nor the imagination, thus lack the value and appreciation. Often evaluate based upon the "WOW" factor. They do not quite see the differences of each magic in each performance and thus not see or view his magic as much different. Your comment about Americans lack of taste in music [probably focused upon USA, though maybe not limited to] is actually not only just the USA, rather in most "Western World" Countries and many others too. Look at the Global Talent singers, X-Factor, Idol, Voice and see whose and what songs they sing?!! Mostly the same, main music business popular songs. These people from other native languages usually singing songs in English [always wonder how much the singer comprehends the words, which can often be noticed with great vocals and lacking in emotion, feeling and passion, yet power and sometimes excellent voice control, but it takes internal comprehension to have the emotion to express outwardly and convey to others].

OK..I've heard you guys here saying,.."I know how he did THAT"..as far as the "quick change colors" on the cube...fine. EXPLAIN how in the hell he made a mixed cube into a solid all round cube, in a blink of an eye,,...in the time from tossing it from bottom to top hand...like he said.."in a millisecond"...how did he do THAT..EXPLAIN?? He did things in a time frame that doesn't compute..=Magic...well done. To all you armchair "explainers"...well..let me see YOU do it! I know there is diversion, illusion and some slight of hand,...but if you're so good at picking it out..then maybe YOU should be in VEGAS makin' millions instead of commenting here,,eh?
