6:30 if I remember/am interpreting it correctly, he wants her to pick up a medication for their dogs that she can’t handle because it could cause harm to the pregnancy (twins btw) and by refusing to handle the dangerous medication she is failing to submit to him as is her wifely duty. He tells her at some point to “wear gloves” to pick up the medication. So he’s insisting that he will take over her wifely duties by doing the shopping and that’s why he won’t let her go. So the conflict is entirely something that he made up, to bully her into handling something that could jeopardize her pregnancy instead of doing it himself. That’s how stupid these men get. Source- I was raised in this specific set of gender roles and I got married myself at 19. Because they offset all of these tasks that are part of being a functional human being, they rapidly deteriorate intellectually. They have some level of cognizance that they cannot function without the women there to perform all the essential tasks, so they lash out in fear. I have a theory that it contributes to dementia in the men in these environments.
Got further into the video and thank god she left him 🙏🙏

“ But it was his confidence that I and many people fell victim to. “ I know I’m like super late, but this hit close to me. When I was younger, early teen, scrolling on KZbin, there’d be a faceless person on shorts, being homophobic, and fatphobic. But because of their confidence and how they worded it, I was unsure of how to feel about what I believed and believe how ( that everyone is valid with their beliefs, as long as it doesn’t harm others ). It actually made me really insecure, because I kept thinking “ Oh it’ll be me next ( I am a part of the LGBTQ community and I have at least a bit of stomach showing ). I’m out and open, who’s to say I can’t get called out? “ So I cut back on my beliefs, hiding them from public view as much as I could. It wasn’t until I left that account and made another ( till I made this one ) that I got a breath of fresh air, and months later, realized that what the dude said was a whole load of crap. Yet it still makes me insecure to this day. I’m so happy to know I’m not the only one who’s fallen victim to those types of people. How I still feel terrible for ever thinking they were ok in their beliefs when it was really pushing down others. That actually made me cry, but happy tears ❤️

When I had my daughter, I labored for 36 hours with a failed epidural and then eventually had to have a c-section due to my baby’s heart rate dropping. I didn’t have the best birthing partner, but at least he was there. My mom was also there and she was an incredible support system, which any person giving birth absolutely needs. I feel so bad for the wife.
