Yesterday someone mentioned Steven Curtis Chapman, and all of a sudden I heard this song in my head, just like when I was 11 and hearing it on my tape player. I thought of the song again this morning, and reread the lyrics, and I realize now that maybe this song has always (without my realizing it) been formative in my understanding of what it means to follow God... That it shouldn't be a life of boring religion and rule following, but the greatest adventure of a lifetime.... That following God will push me outside my comfort zone, be fun, and require a great deal of trust in the one leading and guiding me as I step outside the safety net of the known and planned for. Amen! Thanks Steven. ♥️

I can't wait!!!✝️🔯I'm a new christian. A preacher came to a shelter I'm in & told me how much Jesus loved me not long ago. I'd planned on taking my life that night because I felt that unloved & worthless that I felt that I was better off dead than here in this world. When he told me that Jesus loved me I said "No he doesn't! Nobody loves me!" He reached out for my right hand & said "Wrong he does love you!" I think he saw the hurt in my eyes from years of being bullied & abused & he said "Trust me Jesus does love you!" When he asked me this question "Where will you be if you died right now?" I said "Who cares?? Nobody that's who! I'm going to hell. Why should I care about that?" He said "In hell you're all alone for ever. There's no love in hell at all. Will you give Jesus a chance?" I looked up with tears filling my eyes & I said "Yes! I will." He prayed with me that morning after the the church service had ended 2 weeks ago. He came back almost a week ago & gave me a blue king James bible. I said "I can't take it from you. I have no way to pay you back." He said "Take it it's yours. You don't owe me a thing. Just read it. Know this that I love you too." I have waited all my life to hear those words that somebody loved me & I finally got to hear it for the 1st time in my life! I didn't have a dad growing up. My mom severely abused me physically till I was put in foster care at 12 years old. I attempted suicide for the 1st time when I was almost 13 years old by running out in traffic on the Seattle Washington freeway. Then a few years later I tried again after I had been raped & not knowing at the time I was carrying my 1st baby. A christian Dr said "I know that you're hurting right now but it will get better." For many years I've struggled with post traumatic stress disorder due to the abuse from my mom & many others hands & now I'm learning it's okay to cry & be angry but don't sin. A few still see me as a fake christian because I openly renounced Jesus as God in front of everybody in the shelter I'm in when I 1st came to Nicholasville Kentucky on 2-20-23. When that preacher showed me Jesus that morning & then gave me a blue king James bible I'm now seeing how much Jesus does love me broken & abused. I was born with a lot of serious medical issues & the Dr said to my grandma "Prepare for a funeral for her. She won't live for very long. I'm sorry." My grandma said "My grand-girl will live! Jesus is with her!" I'd had 5 strokes before I was born & 5 strokes after I was born. The Dr said "If she lives she'll be deaf & crippled & blind. Why would you want her?!" She said "You watch Jesus is in control & he will be with her!" When that Dr saw me for the last time as a toddler he shook his head. Years later my grandma took me in to her home & she started raising me as if I was her own child. I was 10 years old at the time. When my mom came back for me I screamed "No don't let her take me from you grandma!!! I want to stay here! She doesn't want me!" My grandma was my 1st physical therapist who worked hard on teaching me to walk & keeping my muscles in my legs & arms from deteriorating to nothing in the 1st years of my life. When I was hit by a truck in 1982 I had no physical therapist to help me to learn to walk again. I had to learn to walk on my own with no help at all. Today I hobble on a cane & I'm now almost 56 years old. Thank you Jesus for my grandma & grandpa who loved me like you do! Just because I hobble on a cane today I'm now a happy almost 56 year old lady. Yesterday I met a nice lady named Jo & she said she is going to help me with finding housing in Pineville Kentucky. Thank you Jesus! Thank you Jesus for this song. I can't wait to see Jesus!

My parents wrote him a letter through a radio show in the early 90's and his wife wrote my mom a letter back telling her how excited Steven and his wife were that they were naming there son after him. My mom still has the note. Remember this song when I was growing up and learning to play music!

From then until now, when my schedule doesn't go as planned I refer to it as God taking me in a Great Adventure. Today, I realized the Lord is going to take me on an even greater adventure. One I've been destined to live from the very beginning. A life Father God wrote in my life's book. Saw Steven Curtis Chapman twice . Once with his best friend Geoff Moore at Shippensburg Pennsylvania. That was the speechless tour. Great night. The other was at Carlisle Theater in Carlisle Pennsylvania. This guy is the only one i can think of currently that could go 3 hours on a tour by himself . No band and no group to open for him. He went solo and great night of worship and giving ALL the Glory to God. Still going strong and not ashamed of sharing his testimony. I love the Great Adventure song because that what it is everyday with JESUS.

I'm dealing with issues with my kidneys again & I sure would appreciate a prayer. The pain in my kidneys is almost excruciating right now & I'm fighting to keep the tears from running down my face again. A friend of mine who is a Dr just got done treating me for a severe double infection in both of my kidneys with Erythromycin not long ago & it came back again recently. I don't want to be a burden to her because she has other people who are worse off than I am & I know that she doesn't have a lot of time to be treating me for the same thing over & over again. For the last several days I've been avoiding her so she wouldn't see how much pain that I'm in with my kidneys again. Why? Because I know that she'd say to me "In my office now & I'll see you in a few minutes." & that's some thing that I don't exactly want to hear because I usually get a earful from her & I don't feel good enough to try to sit through her sermon of "Why didn't you come back to see me sooner Sunny?" There was a young lady in my local library yesterday & she was whiter than a sheet. I said "Sweet heart are you okay?" She said "No. I'm not. Can I ask you some questions?" I said "Sure. What's up?" She told me of what happened Friday night. I said "Did you go to the clinic here for it yet?" She told me that she did & a nurse practitioner did nothing to help her. I said "Call the clinic & get a appointment with Martha Woolum she can help you." When I checked on her a bit later yesterday she looked worse than before. So I stayed near by in case she got worse till the library closed last night. When I saw her as I was going to the library's garbage dump I turned towards where she was & said "Are you okay? Can I help you?" She said "I got my appointment with her at 5 pm today. Thanks!" When she told me that I was relieved to know that she was going to be okay. I'm not sure what her name is but I'm going to call her "Betty" not her real name but since I don't know what her name is that's what I'm going to call her. Please pray 🙏 for her she's about 16 - 19 yrs old. Thank you!😸🙏
