Highest paid at Villa is on £150k per week, lowest paid is a 19 year old on 10k per week. Extortionate is a little bit of a strong word!

It should be % based. Then the highest paid would be hurt just as much as lower.

@@callum8505 Great point actually, I had not considered that. I guess it would be a logistical nightmare to adjust the fines relative to each players' wage too. I guess Stevie was taking the piss a bit.
@nick2209112 күн бұрын
@@omgblastbeatslolit wouldn’t be that difficult, you would just have the fine be a % of of their wages rather than a fixed number. That was the fine would be fair across the board.
@omgblastbeatslol12 күн бұрын
@@nick22091 I had thought about that, but every ex-player that I've heard talk about fines has said that they are paid in cash and recorded by the team captain, with the money going into a kitty to pay for the xmas night out or something similar. I just figured that might create tension in the dressing room if the fallout is the players' individual wages becoming something that isn't private anymore. And I'm not sure if switching to bank transfers is any better. The clubs are probably on thin ice as it is from a legal standpoint concerning cash fines but if they start getting logged in black and white like their pay I wonder if they might start challenging the practice altogether.

£200 late for physio appointment is straight up respect for the staff. After that ManU story about signing the charity balls and shirts I’d add “Not signing charity items £1000 and an appearance for charity event within 4 weeks”. It’s so important to club image in the local community.
