Man i love Ricky, he's so quick with his wit. Nevertheless, i prefer Steve, he's SO sharp his comebacks pack more punch and there's an intelligence to his jokes that floor me every time. - His comedic blueprints are all over the office and extras. - Without Ricky as the mouthpiece those shows wouldn't have worked, but without Merchant the timing, pace, and content would have fallen flat. - Steve has my vote everytime. Even tho the Office is a daunting comedic project to overcome, i truly hope they reunite and start having fun writing together again.

BorealisJames It really is; and because they just talked bollocks, and not about much topical stuff, other than Pop Idol and a few other TV shows, it hasn’t aged at all, really. I pretty much listen back to all the radio shows, podcasts, audiobooks, etc, at least a few times a year (because I’m sad that way haha), and they still make me laugh like they did when I first heard the XFM show, around 18 years ago...jeez, that makes me feel old haha. I always look for the XFM comments on KZbin, when I watch certain videos that have some connection to the show; such as songs or bands that were either played on the show, or were featured in either ‘RockBusters’, ‘Songs of Phrase’, ‘Song with a Story’, etc- particularly when I watch/listen to ‘Wonderful Tonight’, by Eric Clapton haha. Them talking about ‘Wonderful Tonight’, as it plays, with Karl trying to convince Ricky and Steve that the protagonist of the song is a “little fella in a wheelchair”, with seemingly less than zero evidence, is one of my favourite things of all time haha.
