remember episode 1, steven's conversation with the schoolgirl in the museum: steven: "they believed you needed your heart to be judged in the underworld and only the worthiest would be allowed to pass through the field of reeds." girl: "and did it suck for you? getting rejected from the field of reeds?" steven: "that doesn't make sense 'cause i'm not dead, am i?"

@@SpartanandPudgey I think it's because Marc died in Egypt and was resurrected by Konshu. Hence the “you were nothing but corpse when I found you" statement by Konshu. The mystery then is how the schoolgirl knew something like that had happened to stephen/marc

You are all getting it wrong, Marc Spector is Moonknight, Moonknight isn't another personality it like Bruce Wayne is Batman it's just a costume.

@@SpartanandPudgey It's an analogy I've heard directly from the DID community. Basically because of how splitting works, there's no single alter who can truly be said to be the original. They're all sectioned off pieces of the same consciousness pool.

Due to The Theory of Structural Dissociation being the leading theory for how the disorder forms...there is no original personality. They are ALL parts of a whole and all equally real. They are just extremely dissociated parts bc of repeated trauma.

I would guess you two would really love WandaVision, Captain America and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and Hawkeye. There are both ties to the final two Avengers films as well as Daredevil (especially if you’ve seen Spider-man No Way Home).

Our goal is to get through them I think!!! Spartan has seen daredevil..... but I haven't. Maybe we will have to do a "girlfriend watches for the first time" segment for daredevil 😁

Setting aside the comics and going by the show, Steven is clearly the alter. Notice how Steven is more intellectual and less hard than Marc. Steven has the same interests as Layla. Steven is kind of the person Marc wishes he could be for Layla. Just my theory. In actual Egyptian mythology, Anubis judges your heart against the feather of Maat. If your good outweighs the bad, then you move on. If not, you get fed to Ammit. In the show, they have simplified it to Ammit being judge and well more judgmental. At least according to Arthur, but Arthur is not the avatar of Ammit. He seems to have access to some of her power via the cane, but it Ammit truly judging people or is it Arthur? Is the "judgment" for show to keep his cult in line? This show is like the saying "Truth is a three edged sword, your side, my side and truth in the middle."

In the way the actual disorder actually works they are all alters....such thing as an original doesn't exist with the leading theory of how the disorder forms. The theory of structural dissociation. So they are ALL alters and all equally real. Many DID systems explain it with if you have an orange and peel it and take it apart...which piece is the original orange. Or if a glass bowl breaks which pice is the original bowl. There isn't one. They are all parts. None are "the original". Theres some KZbin videos that explain the theory of structural dissociation with visuals that explain it better if that doesn't make sense.

@@KevinLopez-dm2tb The only thing making me say 3rd personality and not pinpointing it as Jake is the security guard calling him Scotty. They've already deviated from "comic book canon" with Steven (he's not a rich guy). They may have changed the name to Scot Lockley or thrown in another personality.

Marc Spector is the main character , he is the original he is the moon knight , Steven Grant is his other personality there are more personalities of Marc Spector in the comics other than Steven Grant . And Marc Spector's personality Steven Grant is not a goofy gift shop man in comics , Steven Grant is a billionaire playboy inspired from Bruce Wayne (Batman) in comics .

Hey Pudgey I knew you have a rich amount of melanin in you being Egyptian a very beautiful people. It's good you two finally figured out that Marc's is the primary personality in the body and Steven is just a multiple personality which you should have known by him not having any real connection to the world. I have felt that Marc's motivation for adding Marc to his life is that he wanted to escape from his violent lifestyle, and this was away that he could walk away and leave that behind that is why Steven has such a strong moral compass. It's interesting in watching couples react because you see how they play off of each other and who are the brains in the relationship. The actor (Ethen Hawke) in an interview said that he chosen to put glass in his slippers which he took the inspiration from another movie he was in, and the writers agreed and put it in this show, you might be able to pull up a video on KZbin of the interview. I have one suggestion which is not associated with this movie show, but I would like for you very nice couple if you can do a reaction to this movie if you haven't seen it yet Jojo Rabbit.
