Back in the day I let my brother borrow my VHS tape of this movie to show to his friends at a sleepover he was going to as they had not seen it yet. They were 15, good enough if anyone is going to be a "HOW DARE YOU!" person. Anyway, the next day I get my movie back and hear about how it was a big hit and his friends loved it. Fast forward to a couple months later, I feel the urge to watch the amazing dynamic duo of Gary Freaking Busey and Tommy "I cant sanction your buffoonery" Lee Jones just having a great time being themselves, well, Gary was I am sure. I get to the infamous part where Erika Eleniak jumps out of the cake and the VHS tracking goes haywire and I can't see a thing, and when she is covered up again the movie goes back to the normal quality. My brother and his friends watched that scene over and over so much they destroyed the tape at that part, I am surprised that it didn't outright break. Thanks for bringing up something that had been locked away in my memory, just like the time in 8th grade I had a writing assignment where I had to ask my boss for a raise and I pretended to be Steven Seagal's fight coordinator and threatened to expose him as a fraud, and little did I know at the time... I got an A+ for my creative thinking and technically speaking, blackmail.

I went to Los Angeles for the first time in 1998. As a gym guy, I had to go check out Golds Gym in Venice Beach. As I was working out I noticed a woman doing pec flys on a machine who was dressed weirdly. Huge oversized torn up hoodie plus a worn out dodgers hat and drab sweatpants. It was a warm day and that gym isn’t air conditioned, so it wasn’t cold at all. I could tell by her hands she wasn’t an older person as I first assumed. Anyway, I finished my set across from her and look over and she finally looks up at me. It was Erica Eleniak, and in person, she had one of the most attractive faces I had ever seen, and she had none or very little makeup on.

With the success of Under Siege, he got the clout needed to make his own movies. On Deadly Ground was preachy and bad, and led to him making Under Siege 2 because he needed a hit to recover from that dog. It didn't go that well, and his next movie was Fire Down Below - thematically similar to On Deadly Ground, but worse. It wasn't too many more films before he stopped getting stuff into theaters. Under Siege was the movie that gave him enough rope to hang himself.

Also, an MP5 is not an assault rifle, it is a submachine gun. Assault rifles use rifle ammunition where submachine guns use pistol ammunition (in this case 9mm parabellum most commonly). It occupies the same space as carbine rifles (which is commonly any rifle that uses pistol ammunition and was favored by cavalrymen because you didn't have to carry two types of ammo). I mean, obviously this one is probably on the writers, and it could be early enough old Sensei Seagal's career he might not have developed the one-custom-gun-a-month habit yet. I just like guns and gun history.

Yo, take it easy on Gary Bussey, he's a national treasure. Besides in 2009 was right after he had that motorcycle wreck that gave him brain damage. Side note, Seagal had a deal in all of his movies where they had to light his face in a very specific way so it covers up his double chin. Its that way in All of his movies.
