@@tsukimilo Exactly. His whole thing is like what Garnet said in season 1- "There has never been anything or anyone like Steven". He isn't completely human, and he isn't completely a gem. He grows and changes like humans do, but he has crazy powers like the gems. He is one of a kind, and that can be pretty isolating at times. Spoilers This all culminates in Steven Universe future where his trauma really comes to a head. Nobody knows the full extent of what he is capable of until he figures it out himself, which leads to lots of issues. (ie. the doctor's appointment)

I can't help but think how much it must hurt Steven to hear Greg and Connie bonding over being humans in a relationship with gems. Steven requires everything that humans do (food, water, sleep), but he doesn't really live a human life.

Perl behaves like a wife whose husband always finds mistresses. She loves her and believes that they are all temporary girls, and Rose will stay with her. And instead of her husband, it is easier for her to be angry at Rose partners

I disagree. This implies Pearl and Rose were a couple, and they weren't. Pearl is clearly in love and is torn because she knows she can't be with Rose. Although she knows why they can't be together, it doesn't hurt any less when someone else comes along is able to be with Rose in a way Pearl can't. So this isn't a case of a straying husband, but instead the love smitten best friend.

That last line from Steven in 8 really shows how isolated he feels and how others do that to him unintentionally, I mean Greg was doing something amazing for Connie by giving her someone who can be there for her when the magic gets to be a bit much, but at the same time he kind of metaphorically drew a line between them and Steven. Pairing this with that conversation between the gems in The Test during season 1 we can see how this Otherness from both humans and gems is really having an effect on Steven

As you said, there was a censored scene when Jasper poofed Garnet some episodes ago, but there's another one in "We need to talk". When Rose and Pearl dance together, there's a moment when their faces get too close to each other, and that was deleted in multiple countries for some reason. I find censorship in SU pretty stupid tbh

In the episode where Greg tries to fuse with Rose, when Garnet said it did work, it's because she saw the future and saw Steven. Their fusion... is Steven. That's basically how romantic fusion for humans work, creating babies that's literally a mix of the parents personality and physical looks

Cartoon Network disappointingly failed to deliver when it came to Steven Universe merchandise. Instead, most items were produced by unrelated third parties or fans without any affiliation to the network. This lack of merchandise availability extended beyond Steven Universe, affecting many mid-2010s shows. Either merchandise was scarce or official items were excessively expensive. Additionally, some Cartoon Network shows were canceled due to their perceived lack of marketability, despite fan-made products thriving. Incompetence plagued the decision-makers responsible for this aspect. The situation improved only when vendors like Etsy, Amazon, and Redbubble showcased the market demand, highlighting Cartoon Network's leadership inadequacy in the business beyond toy sales. Even the official toy lines with their usual partners were subpar.

(Gem or human) and its something only Steven can do. [Example: Pearl could never fuse with Connie, but Pearl actually could fuse with Steven]
