The most valid theory is that Centipeedle's real name is Nephirite. Since Bismuth said in her debut episode that she saw a Nephirite controlling a spaceship. Since Centipeedle is the only Pilot Gem we know so far, it's likely that Nephirite is Centipeedle.

My theory on gem corruption is based on the idea that a poofed (naked) gemstone is affected by an Earth species's DNA. If a poofed gem isn't carefully picked up for eventual reforming or bubbled, it could be "eaten" by worms, fish, insects, birds, etc. (or at least covered by them), and instead of properly reforming the Gem becomes a zombiefied, highly-mutated caricature of whatever creature that DNA belonged to.

+PlayerNegative1 the way I understood it is that when a gem becomes cracked or damaged then it becomes corrupted since it is missing a piece of its gem and can't become it's full gem self. So if a corrupted gem is basically a cracked gem then Steven should be able to heal it like he did with lapis.

***** I mean, I saw it as you become corrupted when your gem cracks, and assumed to that once a gem is corrupted (which doesn't happen immediately, as seen with Lapis and Amethyst, they weren't corrupt, just "defective") then it is currently irreversible. That would explain why Rose could never heal a corrupted gem (or so we're told). Anyway, there is so little we know about all of this, at this point we could both be right or wrong.

I loved your video! However I noticed that you put 'cracked' and 'corrupted' under the same umbrella. They aren't actually the same thing - steven has been shown to heal cracked gems, but cannot heal corrupted gems, at least not completely. Hope this helped!

I would love it if Centipeedle came back and joined the gems for multiple episodes in a row (or atleast not poof and bubbled again) and then we'd get to see her become uncorrupted. Hopefully corrupted gems dont just 'wake up' when they've healed as in their lives as corrupted beings will just be forgotten. Because apparently poofed gems just go 'I was _just_ here!' and it's been like 3000 years or so.

Corrupted gems are different from cracked gems corrupted gems are made because of the damage of the diamonds but cracked gems are made by simply cracking the gem. like how rose/pink diamond can heal cracked gems but cannot heal corrupted gems like how garnet said corruption is the damage of the mind while cracked is the physical damage. i also realized i sound like a weeb XP

I like to think Centipeetle is some kind of Quartz, since she has the big hair like Rose Jasper and Amethyst. There isn't really anything to back it up as a legit theory, but I just like the thought. I did look into it though, and there do appear to be some green Quartz. Namely Vermarine, Prasiolite and Aventurine. If I had to pick one of those, I'd go with Aventurine.
