Hey Steve. Cool video. What made you think air was in the system? Was it the sound of water moving through the pipes? Also how does air get into a boiler that has already been bled and has worked fine for years? Thanks alot. Jeff
@stevenlavimoniere10 жыл бұрын
it sounded load so i purged it just be safe .its a well so its hard to get all the air out with wimpy water pressure .air seems to happen for some resion sometimes you just have to purge to remove it from time to time ..like they say shit happens

Cool video. The stem on that zone valve must of been seeping a bit of water and corroded the actuator.

Steve i've noticed alot of these boilers in you're video's don't seem to have air scoops or separators installed..? Whats the deal? Im my area almost every professonially installed hydronic system has one on the outlet of the "boyla"
@stevenlavimoniere10 жыл бұрын
well i am there to service the boiler not repipe his system that someone installed most systems i see don't have air scoops on them . who cares about and air seperater when you have a purge station???? that sounds like a comment from and aprentiss
@plumbworker10 жыл бұрын
LOL..I'm definately not a apprentice.. I'm just sayin it's good practice is all... i'm just curious if that is the norm in you're area.. The air separartor is obiviously not designed to purge the system for you its designed to remove "entrained micro bubble's from the system" over time etc.. I'm not trying to knock you i think you do great work... -Sean

I had one blow apart before and someone told me to i should remove power and wait 4 or 5 min so it denergizes. I dont work with taco often
@hemiforever4 жыл бұрын
It's written on their packaging material as well. It works by heating some substance that causes internal pressure to build up and force a rod into the valve.

Is it better to purge the zones with the system running or turn switch off?
@richfjr13005 жыл бұрын
yes better to have it off, else you could have very hot water coming out
