What's the pressure at the hydrant? Any loss in your line to the house other than a few? Will a booster pump with a tank work good with a well system? Not enough to run a sprinkler. Perhaps the paint can weren't the safest so close to the torch but do what you have to do. Good videos.

AY McDonald are industry leaders. Just too expensive for my likings. Which model are you running here? I've got the *PC2 so 70 pounds boost, but now it is making too much noise and pressure appears higher than it should be. $3500USD list price. Plus tax, shipping, import, etc. Not happening.

why not have your water service replaced/upgraded, it will be cost more upfront but with this you will be paying for it forever with higher electrical bills

noting wrong with the water service.changing it will not raise water pressure .the pressure in the street is only 35 psi .

Hi Steve, I have a bi- level vacation home in NE PA and I'm having low water pressure issues. I suspect it's the hard water causing me problems to my 2nd level showers. I've heard you can clean out the hot water lines by adding vinegar to the lines and having them sit for a few days and flushing. Do you think that's a good idea? Trying to resolve this problem without having to add a booster pump.

I plumbed for twenty years and I used bread on occasion when a valve would not hold. However, you need to put another valve in some where because the bread would not hold it back for a long time but it does work. Another thing the crust of the bread has to be removed or you will have a mess on your hands because it will plug all the faucets in the house. So it is true you can use bread.

I used compressed air or nitrogen. Open up the nearest fixture. Insert hose and blow water to nearest drain point. Usually will buy you enough time to solder in whatever parts you need to.

i have been doing plumbing for 33 year never had a need to use bread there are different ways to stop water and steam. thats just my oppion .

+steven lavimoniere I agree Steve. I've never used bread though. I'd be afraid it would clog delicate things down the line like a solenoid valve on an ice maker or appliance.

you can not solderif there this water in there ,,if there is no opening the steam will blow the hot solder out from building up pressure in pipe . dealing with steam is a smart idea .if not it could be a shit show .
