When you get old the house gets old with you. Most of us seniors don't live in a recently remodeled house I would bet.

Steve those new engines are great with the fuel economy and power but theyll bite you in the ass if you dont aggressively maintain them. The newer engines rely on oil pressure to control various functions such as timing (via solenoids shifting oil flow). If those components get varnished/dirty/gummed up due to lack of clean oil theyll cause pure havoc. No more than 4 to 5 thousand miles between oil changes!

Pretty brave of you to remove the overflow screws without covering the drain first.
@johnkatrich29542 сағат бұрын
Sometimes you can hit those screws with a screwdriver and hammer and then turn them clockwise first like to tighten them and then try removing

Odd question: If you have a septic system you don't want to be adding caustic stuff, to a drain. What happens in a city system when people are doing it by the 100's and multiple hundreds? Or is that built into the product safety regs?

Tragedy of the commons. Everyone on public sewer flushes dumb stuff like grease in the kitchen, baby wipes in the bathroom. The sewer treatment plants have to worker harder and the equipment breaks down more. Sewer bill keeps going up because everyone thinks it ain't my problem.
