It depends what you really want to see. For huge landscapes and animals, sure, Tanzania is much better. For the rest, I am not so sure, I've been to both countries and I overall prefer Mauritius, it is better in terms of infrastructure, convenience, views and food wise, but also more expensive.

​@@masumrabbanikhanright5895 Depends what you do and at what standard. You can stay cheaply in local motels, but might pay a whole lot more for Mzungu hotels near tourist places. Local food is cheap, expat food is cheap compared to the West but more than most locals can afford.

I moved here 3 years ago. Years ago when I used to visit SE Asia I could smell the opportunity, but not so much these days. Now, I smell that opportunity in TZ. With few small changes, TZ will be a powerhouse. Everyone I know in TZ are proud of their country despite the usual struggle of life. Muslims and Christians accepting of each other, welcoming to foreigners. Couldn't ask for a better home.
