Cleaning a Shark Navigator Lift-Away Vacuum

All the filters and the canister can be washed with soap and water.

the fact I need a SECURITY torx bit really really infuriates me, to CLEAN THE ROLLER! I mean I have one, it's the principle of anti-repair for normies with just a Phillips screw driver and a need to vacuum.

I agree I had to go buy one just to take the damn thing apart and of course the screw in the middle is so far down the one I bought isn't long enough never again with a shark

@@ryanclark9386 Ryan you can use a small flat head. I did, and on occasion it snapped the little ball (dot) in the centre of the screw head. But after that it was fine and I could use either a positive or flat head. Still needs to be long enough to reach two or three at the lower bottom ends as the vacuum is thicker/ wider there. I actually managed to replace my motor in the end, it's working fine now with no burning smell. Got to buy some new filters soon but hey ho.

@@Troberts8910 I was just trying to clean the brush the mother in law sucked up tinsel with the wire in it, the T-15 is currently stuck in the deeper hole I need a magnet now hahaha I can't catch a damn break, anyways thanks for the advice I did end up fixing it, I just gotta get the bit out eventually

@@ryanclark9386 That's a lot of heart ache just to clean the brush. Shows how they think about the consumer when making these things. I was surprised by the build quality when I opened mine, I was expecting better. Maybe long nosed pliers might fit in the hole. Either way good luck, a magnet might just be your option though. 👍🏽

tell me why the cleaning directions said “run the hepa filter under water and let sit for 24 hours” and when i turned my vacuum on after 3 days it spurted out foam like a fire extinguisher

Amazing! But I was hoping you would show the tube from the handle bit... I just sucked up a long-handle cat toy and it is Stuck inside the metal-tube part of the handle... & I can't feel it. 😬

You can remove it and use a long stick to get any debris out. I use a dryer vent stick but anything long should dislodge the clog.

It has to be air. You can’t get the motor wet. At the beginning of the video you can see him spraying the filters. The ground does not get wet.

Star bit. Go to your local ace with the vacuum. They can help you.

You need to get both a T15 and T10 size torx bit with a star in it. Cheap onAmazon, but my lowes and ace didn't even have it..good luck.

That's a design flaw that you can't easily access the roller.
