Oh my days! I stressed out for half an hour, whilst trying to move house, trying various ways to unclog a blockage just under the handle. Even started to dismantle the handle, when that failed, reluctantly, went to KZbin and found this video. All I can say is WOW! In a minute it was cleared because of your advice. Thank you so much for this video. Your trick really did work. There was a sock stuck in the bend of my new shark Apex duo, a $500 vacuum, and I couldn't get it out. I have a cleaning business so this happens quite often, but I have always been able to get my vacuums unclogged. Well not this time. It wouldn't budge. Didn't know I had a blockage - just knew dirt was not getting into the canister. Thought I had thrown a belt or something more serious. Experimented by trying to pickup something with just the hose but it collected debris in the 90 just after the roller brush. I tried your hose stretch method just to get that out of the way in my trouble shooting and I'll be darned!!! I had unknowingly picked up an ankle sock! Many thanks! Never before have I loved a vacuum-not my Kirby, Oreck or Hoover but I LOVE the Shark Lift Away.
