I had my own Grand Caravan 208b No 1059 with Oasis interior. After a Cherokee Six and a Saratoga. It felt like a lounge with wings. Flew with PPL and IMC. Based on Isle of Man so plenty of weather and frisky crosswinds sea mists etc. Only got my PPL at age 62 so a late starter. So pleased not to have missed the experience. Great short field aircraft and fast enough for me. Your videos bring it back so well. I am sure you inspire people to fly and fly well.

I went to Spanish Cay as a young boy in approx 1972 when it was owned by Texas businessman Clint Murchison Jr., he was the founder of the Dallas Cowboys. My best friend's parents were friends of the Murchison's. We flew from Opa-Locka on their DC-3, they apologized that the Gulfstream II was in the paint shop. Anyway, it was a cool trip that I vividly remember 45+ years later. There were two 50'+ fishing boats that took us out fishing morning and afternoon. The food was great, and at night we watched Cowboy's game films and a film of NFL follies. There were also large pieces of debris on the beach from some type of missile/rocket, not uncommon in the Bahamas. Steve, keep up the great videos, nice to see the Caravan again.

Your right Steveo nice greaser. Your also right about flying the Bahamas, early in my flying career I too flew in and out of islands for a charter service from Homestead general, (Key Largo-Air Service) bare bone, single Navajo, throw in a couple of Aztecs and a J-3 cub. Early on and looking back (1970s) plenty of work and no better way to load the log book. So thanks Steveo for bringing back some fun memories loved every minute of it.

I used to fly an Aztec in to Walkers Cay a good bit back in it's hay day. It is the northern most Bahama Island and much of the hotel and marina were destroyed by back to back hurricanes. I hear Carl Allen bought the island and is planning on putting it back onto the sport-fishing map. It will be good to see Walkers busy and booming again.

Nice fl..err Mission, and in the Caravan, finally a craft I've flown, and the ability to see all around you never gets old. When you get used to calling out a callsign so much, it IS hard to switch to another, and I used to have so much problems with that at times, as you just rattle it off without thinking, so can definitely understand that. Gorgeous views of coming in on that approach (again, extended windscreens help ;) and how cool to land at Spanish Cay there!
