I'm not a even a piston engine pilot but I've seen enough of Steve's videos that I'm confident I could start a turbo prop. All you gotta do is watch the ITT for hot starts and the NGG for a hung start.

Yeah i wonder why the computer doesn't/can't do all the work. When you look how advanced automotive engine computers are, you'd expect aviation engines to at least be on par. The pilot shouldn't have to be worrying about fuel and mix etc. That's like old lawnmowers.

I loved that remote control tug at the end. That was a first. I've tugged many aircraft from C172 to B787 yet have never seen that before.
@step45604 жыл бұрын
I belive that is a "Best Tug" of Mike Patey (Droco fame) product. Not sure since its not clearley marked. That is the one to have since all the steering moments are taken up by the tug and not the ac's landing gear, which if its rotational limits are exceeded can cause damage to the nose gear 😳
@Part_1214 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I thought that was pretty cool too. I wonder if it is still in test since they only towed the TBM a short distance before switching to a more classic tug.
@step45604 жыл бұрын
@@Part_121 I don't think so. As per their website, this is a finished product. Good eye by the way, I didn't catch that. My guess is that someone forgot to plug it in and the batts. were a little flat from previous towings and therefore not up to the task to pushing the 940 into the hangar and that is why they had to use another more classic and riskier method, at least without a spotter...

Rather amusing transition at the end. I'm really impressed with the elevated technology of the TBM 940 over what I first remember of the TBM family when I flew right seat in a 700. It was the "I HAVE ARRIVED" moment for me. Now, I watch Wayman and you dazzle yourselves with the 940, and I know you're saying that it can't get any better than what's going on right now. You're right. As the video ended, the preview videos showed up one of which was the video of Captain Mindy, the new Cessna 182 and Steveo. I could not help but think that Steveo keeps excellent company with superb pilots representing their organizations' superb airplanes. Continue to enjoy great flights!

I watched a video about all the features of this new TBM940 and it's just magic. At that time it was right at $4,000,000 depending on options. Some of the more luxurious interiors will get you closer to $5,000,000, but the standard layout is also pretty sweet. I think they were also going to do a cargo version of this, but that was just speculation of the Vlog I watched. Maybe wishful thinking. But with that kind of power you would think it would make a good heavy hauler with some cabin mods.
