Glad you’re giving them attention. This band is criminally under acknowledged.

I think a lot of people just have a natural adverse reaction to instrumental music. Many just feel they NEED vocals accompanying their music. Personally, I feel like a lot of music is so much better without vocals tacked on, even if the vocals are amazing. For instance, Altered State (instrumental) by Tesseract is probably my favorite instrumental album ever.

Night verses has been the shining example of instrumental metal. Nick DePierro is the most exciting and original metal guitar player I’ve seen in a long time. Very creative sounds. And yes Aric is bananas on the kit. Glad you enjoyed! Didn’t think you wouldn’t 😂

Love to see you watch Aric Improta’s song “Blur-Lights in the Videodrome”. It’s his opus and is insane. You’ll see/hear stuff drummers haven’t done before. He’s pushing drumming forward with his stuff in Night Verses as well as his solo stuff and Attention Defecit videos.

Steve, you’re firing on all cylinders, hitting all the albums this year that I’d want you to. Can’t help but add a couple more recs, though. In addition to the three bands that I gushed about in my last post, I gotta think you would love the new Earthside album (the vocal features are incredible), and if you’ve never heard Pure Reason Revolution from Westminster, you gotta check out their last 2 LPs!

Hey Steve😊 It’s been a really long time since you’ve reacted to Aurora, I miss your reactions to her😍 Did you know that she released a new song on the 8th of November? And about three weeks ago she released a music video and it has over 1,8 million views already👍 She also did a stripped down acoustic version at the Meet and Greet in Beijing. Please react to this song🙏

True, about a year ago I created a separate channel for non-rock music reactions and I did publish a few Aurora reactions there... but over time I've become more and more interested in doing alternative rock reactions. Sorry to disappoint, but that's still where my focus is. Aurora is amazing. I may revisit her again in future, but no immediate plans to do so I'm afraid.

WE NEED A PT 2! or at least a reaction to the song Phoenix V from pt 2. its SO GOOOOOOOD. please steve? i know its been 4 months since its release, but hoping you havent heard it since pt 2 seemed to have gone under the radar for most

Cheers! I haven’t listened to part 2 still (except for the Brandon Boyd one?). Honestly I think it’s unlikely I’ll get to it. It’s impressive stuff but just isn’t quite my flavour of music without vocals so I struggle to fully want to spend time with it.

Worth checking out their older tunes too, their album Lift Your Existence is pretty awesome front to back and they had a singer back then. I jumped for joy when I saw your vid because I've known these dudes for about 10 years personally and this tour is such a huge opportunity for them! Stoked to see them finally getting the recognition they deserve as musicians, they're all three incredible at what they do!
