Cheers to you for going through the Loopified tracks! A lot of reaction channels are missing out on their older stuff IMO. 3:18 is probably one of my favorite key changes of all time! There are some other great songs on the album but no play along videos to go with them. You could delve a bit deeper to the pre-Loopified era where they got their start by doing covers of pop songs. Rolling in the Deep and Baby are the best known ones.

"Tickles my skeleton" is one of the most delightful quotes ever! I'm subscribed to your excellent channel and get excited when your new Dirty Loops reactions come up on my feed, because you always have insightful/entertaining commentary. The interesting bits this most excellent band perform in their songs probably makes them too intelligent for the masses, but musicians (like you) & musicophiles (like me) sure do appreciate their efforts. Thanks, Steve!

I'm out of adjectives to describe these guys. Damn man. Your very first sentence was exactly what I was thinking...it's just not fair. It also disappoints me on how much the average listener is missing out on. The fills, the accents, the timing breaks and off-beat starts, all of it. As they say, if you know you know and I'm so glad I know. Because that's where the magic is at.

Totally. I mean, my wife actively dislikes their sound but I think it's because she heads this big wall of chaotic sound and it's overwhelming. The details though, that's where it makes sense.

Lovely reaction and great commentary, as usual. This is, if you ask me, one of the best songs of the Loopified album. It is busy, yes, but which Dirty Loops song isn't? 😉 I mean, with the "more is more" motto they have it can only be expected. And, as a jazz fusion group, they are hardly aiming for tidy pop/rock. 😄 Though I must say, for a jazz fuision group they are very, very poppy (and I, for one, am loving it). Thanks again. Always nice to have your input and pointing out of small details, especially in the drums, that I've managed to miss.

Your comments - which I agree with - got me thinking of a line from the movie Amadeus, where the emperor says to W.A. Mozart that there is "too many notes" in The Abduction from the Seraglio. I think most can agree that there's just as many notes as there should be. Same goes for Dirty Loops. It's their special sauce.

You’ve said that so well, Steve: that DirtyLoopiness with its unexpected moments generously sprinkled on everywhere, is something one gets to know and love, over time perhaps, but as integral part of what they’re about: to constantly thrill, stun and surprise you. Music is first and foremost for them, but would be nothing without their mind boggling skills - and hey, that mind boggling mixing, mastering and producing as well… Any reaction from you to any DLoops number would make me happy :) There’re a few more left from that Loopified album, I guess 👍🙏

A couple other lesser talked about songs you may enjoy. 1) Sexy Girls, this one has a dance club vibe. Usually not my thing at all, but I love this one of course because they make you love it. 2) Roller Coaster. Funky as hell and lives up to the name. No video for either, but both exist on KZbin.

Hey Steve, I've been following the "Loops" since they first appeared on KZbin so many years ago now and have never been disappointed by their gifts to us mere mortals. Having been brought up on rock and roll (yep, as far back as Bill Haley!) this amazing trio is by far, the most creative I've heard imo. Yeah ,I really was around for Bill Haley as I'm almost eighty years old. Love your enthusiastic reactions mate from an ex Brit now an Aussie.

Dead on about the relistening. I was hyped about the album before it came out but was very disappointed on first listen. Just couldnt gel with it. Sounded like too much as you say. But every listen revealed new things. Don't think ive ever listened to another band on repeat as much as them. Honestly everyday for a good few years. Their music is like and onion with infinite layers haha.

It might be helping me that I listen to just 1 song at a time days apart from each other. Allows me to come in fresh each time. I may try listen to a few in a row and see what that's like.
