No apology needed, ur 100% right. I'm def partial to the UFC and the sheer number of shows they put on, but I love watching mma from any promotion when there's good fights!! Bellator, One, and now Eagle FC are all stacking good rosters and putting on good shows, but I've also gotten more into watching Glory kickboxing and random Muay Thai fights I find on YT, some of those are crazy exciting!!! Imo combat sports in general has never been this awesome, and the best part is it just keeps growing

I will never forget meeting DC at the airport and then come to find out he was on the same flight as me. It was after he lost to Stipe and he was nice enough to have a great conversation with me and my mom while waiting to board the plane back to Louisiana.. I remember asking him if he never fights again, can you please keep commentating fights because you’re so good at it, and he said yes I love doing it. Made me so happy

See Steve O is a real fight fan. I can appreciate guys like him who didn’t grow up in martial arts but love to watch every single fight. He’s allowed to talk about it even as someone who hasn’t been in martial arts like I said. Because someone like me who has been in boxing/kickboxing/judo/karate since I was 3 years old I have that same passion and if I can see it in someone like Steve O then I welcome it because there are places in the fight world for people like the Jon Aniks and the Ariel Helwanis

If you can, I’d recommend his memoir “Professional Idiot”. There’s a lot of funny stories in it but it has serious moments too, including dealing with his mothers declining health and his journey into rehab and sobriety. Some powerful stuff in there and while I’m trying to develop a healthier relationship with Alcohol, I think often of his book. While Jackass was funny, I think Steve-O’s book is what truly made me a fan of him.
