I dont know what to say Steve except keep plugging away to try and get that algorithm to finally put you at the top. Same here, i learn alot from Steve. It was presented to me once that a beginner bass fisherman learns alot quickly, then as you gain experiences the learning curve slows...once you flat line, for some reason your mind opens up again.

#4 - I do that ALL the time when fishing with spinners for trout in streams! Add BURNING it the last little bit of the retrieve makes them strike! GREAT video!! I need some of those Baby Z Too baits!!

Steve nice tips with the finger rod tap , and line hitting your finger. I also have a tip , I use a loop knot , I use it crappie fishing as well . I find most of this technique is just an enlarged Crappie setup

I found a local pond with huge bass in it. Saw them literally coming 7 feet from shore with polarized lenses. Hoping some of your videos will help because I've only managed to catch bass with spinners and spoons while jigging believe it or not.

That had to be awesome to see that! Try making some casts standing back farther from the edge of the pond if there is room. Those fish were probably aware of your presence and that makes them tough to catch sometimes. Let me know when you catch some of those bigs! Good luck!

Steve - You're on some Holy Grail stuff there... reeling it and tapping the rod makes that thing look just like an alewife. We have them here in massive schools and they're really squiggly in the back end just like that thing looks. Juvie shad probably look really similar. I don't think I've seen anything look more like the real bait than that. That's a lot better than the action from excessive shaking like I've seen most anglers do.

That is a great question. For this size of finesse presentation I really like the 3 1/2 in lures and I most often keep the weights in that 1/16 - 1/8oz range.
