I had to choose between this Bible and the Ancient Faith Bible by Holman. I went with the AF Bible. I may swing back and pick this up later one day. Also, I've heard it in another video that If they would have made a green cover and green and red ribbon, it would have been that nice extra touch. I do like 2 column and the refrence section. How are the mens articles - 45 character profiles?

I think you prob made the right choice. The AF is a great tool. Not that this isn't...but I prefer the info in it to this one. The profiles are decent ...not extensive. Thanks for the comments!

Thank you so much for this review. I have purchased this for myself (I'm a woman🤷‍♀️). I wanted to read the articles by Gene Getz, and so far I am really enjoying them. I also have the CSB Life Essentials Bible. This has Gene Getz commentary too. I appreciate his teachings. I enjoy the CSB version also. Maybe I'll share it with my hubby🤭

This is a great Bible, my only complaint is I personally like red letter text.. other than that it’s been fantastic! The feel of this particular Bible in my hand feels good, it’s weird to say that but it makes me WANT to read this Bible! I feel inspired when I use this particular Bible. I wasn’t sure if I’d like CSB, I’m a NIV guy but the CSB seems similar in a way but with some subtle changes

Get a CSB my friend!!! You won’t be sorry. You can get a nice single column CSB reader for pretty inexpensive

Hi There, thank you for the great reviews! I love your channel. I’m helping my boyfriend research the best bible that will help him develop a closer relationship with God. He isn’t necessarily looking for a study bible as he already has an NLT Life Application Study Bible, but he’s looking for something that will speak to his heart and help him get to know God on a more emotional level versus a factual level. I’ve looked at this bible and the ESV Men's Devotional Bible. Would you have any recommendations that I could look into? Thank you so much!

Thanks for the encouragement! Glad it’s helpful. As far as a recommendation that’s not a study bible. My best advice is to just study. The more you get to know ahold based on his word. (Factually) the more you’ll fall in love with him emotionally. If you do it backwards…you may be falling in love with an emotion. And emotions can lie ya know. So honestly. Just spend time reading and learning the text. I promise of you honestly do this…it will lead you to an emotional place.

CSB is a nice easy read like you say. For me it isn’t my favorite translation though. I do like a translation with an “older” feel to it. CSB has a great flow, but in a Bible, it’s a little too modern for me. But those new to the Bible. It’s probably an excellent translation for ease of understanding.

I hear ya. I know you like your KJV 😁. I use the CSB for reading at length or a first and second pass. Just easy to read.

It’s like the NLT. Sometimes I can pick it up and real and fall in Love it. Sometimes it leaves me cold. Everybody have a favorite translation. I encourage everyone to sample translations. Sometimes the ones you fall in Love with surprise you.
