I genuinely wish I had been that little girls friend in this sort of situation. My ex girlfriend in highschool told me about her dad being extremely abusive to her and her two younger siblings. I'm a girl and my ex was a girl. Her dad, literally named Jason, had beat her younger siblings for dumb reasons. My ex got beat for trying to order me a single Pokemon card I wanted for my birthday. As of today, I am still friends with my ex but she never talks to anyone. One of her siblings has been killing animals and such. Her other younger sibling is struggling severely with dealing with abuse from a partner. I WANTED to tell the school about my ex's abuse by her father, but she told me if I told anyone she would be in even more trouble and I was terrified for her. Parents like this suck. I feel guilty even to this day.

As a single Father who’s daughter was molested by her Mothers new husband, unfortunately I can relate to this story. My ex-wife wrote letters on his behalf to the judge and she was trying to continue with her relationship and I obviously didn’t have any option, I immediately got OFP for both of my children and I raised my children without her. We had some hard times my daughter was 10 when it started and it went for quite a while so understandably she went through some very hard times. Thankfully she is doing so amazingly. She’s 24 married 3 children and a house, good job but also going to school. I can’t imagine what she went through but she is seriously my hero because she didn’t let it define her and she is so strong.

She was awarded full custody of both girls & I’ve heard that they are doing much much better & they are getting very good grades in school now, they’ve picked up some sports, hobbies, etc. & really got into ice skating. The girls are doing wonderful with their Aunt & so much better without their “Mother”. The kids don’t even ask about their “Mother” & they do not even want to see her. The “Mother” hasn’t even contacted her sister to even ask how her own kids are doing. Smh. I’m just so glad they’re doing better.

To think that these two women on stage are actually SISTERS! Growing up in the same home, with the same parents, getting the same kind of upbringing including the same norms and values and so on……. AND YET……! One is the BEST Aunt/Mother you can think of, who will fight for the kids with ALL she can possibly fight with and who not only has a good heart, but also a great moral compass, so all and all: WHO HAS A WONDERFUL CHARACTER… And the other one who is 100% self centered, has NO values and NO norms, who ALLOWS the most horrific things to happen to her own kids, who even ENCOURAGES bad things to happen to these kids (like the smoking of the (then) 3 yrs old)… …AND WHO HAS NO (!) CHARACTER AND WHO JUST HAS SOME SORT OF ROTTEN, CHARCOALED LEFTOVER OF WHAT USED TO BE A SOUL INSTEAD OF A CARING, LOVING HEART……. I SOOO hope that if we would ever see an update on this episode, we would see that the Aunt is having permanent and fulltime custody of these kids (and hopefully are all doing great, being happy, healthy, empathetic, confident about themselves and each other inside their family unit, that the kids are having (or ‘have had’, since I don’t know when this episode aired originally) a good education and that they all are and proceed to be successful, well respected, well liked and just broadly fortunate in their lives! As far as the sad excuse for a human in general (let alone as a ‘mother’) is concerned….. who even cares! She outta live the life she deserves. Slowly, very painfully, empty and soulless. Cold without ever being able to escape that feeling of her own FREEZING HEART-BLOB (it’s not even worth being called a ‘heart’…..) 🤮
