I have experienced my own traumas at the hands of abuse. While I have not experienced SA, this message still holds so much power for those who had their innocence violated, both mentally and physically. You gave such an outlet for anger and sorrow to be screamed out. It means a lot.

There’s a fury unlike any other that comes something so terrible happens to a loved one. I was furious when I was abused, but I did not express it the same way I did when my family member went through the same thing. The rage was unfathomable, it was a feeling I never really found the words for. This song is the closest thing I have to explaining the protectiveness and fury I still feel. Thank you.

One of my biggest fears as a mother of a little man is someone is gonna hurt him and he won't feel safe enough to speak up. He knows no one is allowed to touch him or put their hands on him but that doesn't change how humans are. Thank you for being a voice for the men who don't have one or aren't safe enough to speak up.

It took a little for me to understand the chorus but HOLY, I'd die if someone around me talked about them. I don't ever wanna see them again after what they did when I was just 15, they destroyed everything and make everything my whole life fall into pieces regularly... And I will never forgive my mother she didn't believe me at first bc they were "so nice". The song makes me relive my memories and mixes them with rage, which is actually nice because until now I was just shivering and in physical pain. Thank you❤

This song brings me comfort in knowing that there are men who feel angry at men who sexually assault women. I have guy friends who continue to hang out with the man who sexually abused me for years. I am constantly told that there is no way for them to know what really happened, and instead of believing me, they give my abuser the benefit of the doubt when he denies what he did to me. On days where I feel like no one else is angry at what this man did, I listen to this song, because it makes me feel like someone else understands and is angry alongside me.

I'm not sure if I understand the music video, but I have listened to this song since release and love it. I was assaulted and most people don't know his name, so I've thought about what would happen if I did say it or if I reported it. I never did report it. I just realized something from listening to this song... i was thinking that she feels "why did this have to happen to me?" right. So an abuser, a predator usually does this for power reasons. Which means they don't have any power until they try to take it from someone else. They don't prey on the weak ones. They pick the ones that they can steal power from. So they had to do what they did because they feel less than. I am not trying to excuse it, because I would never, but it means you aren't the weak one. They are. Your survival only elaborates that point. You are more than what they did to you. As a survivor myself it brings me a little bit of peace.
