In 1981, six years after joining Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks went solo for the first time with her debut album ‘Bella Donna’. A massive success, it sold more than five million copies in the U.S., topped the album charts and produced four hit singles, including her signature anthem, "Edge Of Seventeen." More platinum albums followed - ‘The Wild Heart’ (1983), ‘Rock A Little’ (1985), and ‘The Other Side Of The Mirror’ (1989).
In 2019, Stevie Nicks made history by becoming the first female artist inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - first as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998, and most recently in recognition of an extraordinary solo career that spans nearly 40 years.

Damn, the amount of respect I have for backup singers. The hit EVERY single note perfectly, they harmonize like FEW people can, and they bring the vocal production of a show to the highest level humanly possible. They really are the backbone of the song by making it feel HUGE and powerful. If you’re a non-musician, next time you see a live performance with background singers I strongly suggest you take a couple of minutes to focus only on them and you’ll realize how amazing their work really is!

I LOVE the guitar intro and outtro to this song. It is so deserving that guitar veteran Waddy Wachtel gets a few minutes of stage presence, adapting his guitar sound to the dark, mysterious, nervous tone of Stevie's song. Those who doubt Waddy's qualities as a so-called 'amateur' guitarist should check their facts. His resume reads like a history of rock. So many musicians chose him to perform on their albums, and even let him produce them. I am talking about (and this is mostly from Wikipedia): Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham Nicks, The Everly Brothers, Jackson Browne, Kim Carnes, Rosanne Cash, The Church, The Cowsills, Bob Dylan, Silver Condor, Gilby Clarke, Melissa Etheridge, Bryan Ferry, Bernard Fowler, Andrew Gold, Don Henley, Carole King, Miranda Lambert, The Motels, John Mayer, Maria Muldaur, Randy Newman, Steve Perry, Iggy Pop, Bonnie Raitt, Keith Richards, Linda Ronstadt, Adam Sandler, Bob Seger, Carly Simon, The Rolling Stones, Keith Richards, James Taylor, Tom Waits, Warren Zevon, J.D. Souther and Laura Allan. And many others. So open your ears. And show some respect.

Yep......99% of the band is mixed perfectly. But, as a sound guy who's had to put up with guitar player egos, I can tell you right now that if the sound guy was given his druthers, he would've buried Wady Waddell's guitar. It was all mid and high end barfed together with a thick layer of distortion that no EQ or slight of hand trickery can fix. Every sound man has a "suck button" for exactly this reason. But, as politics go, the sound guy has to eat so, he does his best with what he has to work with so he can be hired again or continue in his present gig. Its always the guitar players.....always. Lol!

I have known Stevie since I was eighteen in 1977 and in 1985, Stephanie introduced me to Tom Petty. Just the most special woman on Earth, kind, sweet, does not tolerate fools and a superb judge of musical talent. Years ago I was told the next best session guitarist in the world to Glen Campbell was Waddy Wachtel, and he is just so good. I love Lindsey Buckingham, and he can play triple harmony with himself, but from BellaDonna through to today, Waddy is just captivating when Stevie is playing solo, he is relentless in his rhythm and if you have ever heard him play power guitar like he did October 5, 1986, at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, on Stevie's Rock A Little Tour, honestly he can easily numb the world's best rock guitarists into silence, just phenomenal and a nice guy. Hope you are well Waddy, and Stephanie, you will always have my love, you are the best ever.

Love her, she is the queen of pop rock. What I love about her is not just her voice but that, whether she was with Fleetwood Mac or in her solo career, she has a way of fading in the background giving each musician a chance to be highlighted during each song. man his tone is weak he is also completely off rhythm most of the show. I cant give him any credit. It sounds like shit. Sure watchel was a session musician for a ton of records but this isnt his best at all. it really is amateur

Waddy 'kills it'! Great tone & feel. . I saw him with Stevie here in St. Louis back in the 80s. He broke a string on this song ... without skipping a beat he litterly threw the guitar 25+ plus feet to a roadie while another came running with another guitar. Who knows ... maybe it was part of the show but I was impressed. Still am.
