One of my favorite outtakes. I hope that when they finally decide to reissue TOSOTM, this is the veraion of this song that they use. It is epic.

Once again, AMAZING enhancement! This version is my favorite take. This, along with Tragedy of One's Own Soul, and Dial the Number were originally produced by Kenny G for Stevie to shop for a producer. When Rupert Hine signed on, he insisted that he produce everything from scratch, so the Kenny G stuff was scrapped (Boo-Hoo). I hope WHEN we get a Deluxe TOSOTM, Stevie digs deep into the vaults. I'm sure there is stuff there that the long nets of Klonopin made her forget.

All of these are actually produced by Rupert Hine and feature Kenny G on sax. The only one Rupert didn't produce and Kenny G technically produced is "Tragedy Of One's Own Soul" which had Stevie singing over a Kenny G instrumental that would later become his song "Going Home". I don't think Kenny knows anything much about production and he was never planned as a producer for TOSOTM as far as we know. Before Rupert Stevie only tried out two other producers, one being Trevor Horn who is behind the 1988 demo of "Docklands".

I guess my long nets of white have gotten the best of my memory. I'll have to dig out my old Rolling Stone magazines and revisit the article as it appeared. If there is one thing that irks me, it's Stevie misinformation and I would hate to be a part of it. Thanks for the polite correction.
