"Danced across the stages of the world", Wow that is one of her lyrics from "Sweet Girl", how cool that she saves a statement like that for so long then uses it in a song ten years later. Stevie Nicks has danced across the stages of the world, and she is a sweet girl.

Fantastic interview all around! I commented a lot on part 2 so don't feel like writing it all again but in short, I adore Stevie and this interviewer pulled out some wonderful parts of Stevie's personality and heart and soul. Beautiful!

Stevie did do some art work previously, even though she says she hasn't, I've seen her concert hand bills, promos when she was in Fritz. Can you imagine owning a Stevie Nicks painting, nothing could be cooler to own.

6:44 I realized that when she said "you can never go back" she stopped moving from side to side like she was doing before and then she seemed so sad when she looked down and stood still. then when the interviewer asked her about fleetwood mac she started moving again.

Though somewhat diminished with age and such, Stevie still sings pretty well. Stevie still tours a whole bunch, with or without Fleetwood Mac, and has made 2 exceptional albums, Trouble In Shangri-La and In Your Dreams, this century so far. She's still basically Stevie. Here's hoping you start listening to her again...

She was always such a classy broad. She could never do the trashy stuff like Madonna or those creepy kids singing today. Class. I remember when landslide hit the radio when I was 11 back in 1975. Fell in love with Stevie and Fleetwood Mac. Christine Mcvie is another classy rock and roll woman. Elegant rock roll women who are legend. Velvet heaven like Fleetwood Mac's 3 part harmonies. Lindsay is no joke himself. Loved rumours in junior high. Loved the Mirage album my senior year. Stevies first solo album came out my junior year then Lindsay's solo album hit. Classy band. Got to see the Mac live twice and Stevie solo 3 times. Great rock n roll. They were class all the way.

then I'd have to ask myself "do they love me because I'm Stevie Nicks(example) or love me, as a person. I know she had quite a ball performing but the blast high, you could tell her constant career was wearing thin on her. you heard yourself "no spare time" on the same token she did say her songs are her babies and if she had to do it all again...wouldn't change a thing

There's been a few Stevie Bigropahys(mostly(if the website is still up, an online daily blog of Inherownwrite(amazon) I also read a book at the malls' bookstore in late '09-10(around the time that the Mac decided another world tour.(it was a memoir of the meanings behind her songs, entitled "Read Between My Lines") Such heartbreaking stuff while I can't go into detail, if you can order online or from a bookstore, please try. I don't like how they "tell" her what to do. They should be much nicer to Stevie. And I agree with the other comment that the interviewer seems very condescending and the whispering and kind of ignoring her in the beginning is not very professional. The man telling her to hold it still in a bossy way and then "put it down now" needs to just stop. Don't like his attitude at all.
@marlonpatrick6479 жыл бұрын
+anitabreakone You are way too sensitive. This reporter was uncommonly good. She never interrupted and asked all the right questions. Interviews like this are exactly what the subject and the fans want.
@anitabreakone9 жыл бұрын
+marlon patrick I may be but it's not so much the interviewer but the male voice in the back telling her to hold it still. And in the first part of the interview, part 1, Stevie tries to say she's not ready and she needs to do something but they just ignore her and continue. ?????

@@marlonpatrick647 I 100% agree! The interviewer was fantastic! The other guy is supposed to be a bit bossy because he has to direct what he needs and do it quickly. I'm sure Stevie understands that and doesn't need to be treated with kid gloves. She was treated with respect and admiration!

I've also read a detailed autobiography of Mick fleetwood(My Adventures of Fleetwood Mac) which I hear kinda unsettled Stevie. Andan unauthorized biography of Fleetwood Mac simply titled "Rumours" and an autobiography written by one of Lindsey's long time gfs(Carolyn something who dated him at the height of FM's career 1977-83) it's entitled "Storms" where there seemed to be a silent(but deadly) rivalry on Nicks part(even though by then L @ S broke up over a year and half before but tension

Too bad there's no children to pass her legacy and estate over too. I've heard bits and pieces of her parents(how they promised her that if putting out one more Bucking/Nicks album flopped and couldn't pay enough of the bills they'd genuinely let her come back , stay with them and put her through college) Her grandfather AJ loved country western and Stevie's love for grandpap(most imp up til death) encouraged her. And I know that her brother and sister have been backup singer/dancer 4 her.

See 3:57.. Now that she is 72 she has no interest in writing or publishing her private life and in this interview she seems excited about releasing that information by talking about how thick her biography writing has gotten at that time. I wonder what changed her mind about doing that at 72.. Its interesting that if I were able to look back at interviews of myself when I was young and see things that I believed and said that I no longer support... What that would feel like,but its good my life was never public like this so I could compare...LMAO

Mostly due to legal issues from former band members, its a dirty business when everyone gets along. This band has a lot of ''love hate''...''hate love'' problems from drug abuse in the early days.

Yes I noticed that, though it's subtle. Stevie was very nice in doing the interview, other celebs may have not been so nice. The interviewer did come off as a bit rude, but like ti say it's real subtle and most people might not pick up on it. I could almost "feel" her hating Stevie for some reason. And the camerman with "you can put it down now" about her painting.

I wonder how far I would make it in music biz. Music's my life as far as entertainment goes. don't get me wrong. But to pour every night in dark damp studios constant writing and touring...that would have to wear me down in less than 5 years. Even for all the money in the world. I'd have little to no time for fam/friends. I'd tour which is swell but would want to go sight seeing at all exotic and sightseeing...little time for romance..only brief romps with facelss strangers

I stopped listening to her in the late 80's ..yet I still see her around ( Oprah appearance must have been an all time low for her...she' s way too good for her...she must have seen Celine Dion on there and figured it was ok lol )....she' s successful, beautiful...has tons of fans .
