I met her once. She omits this light, I can’t even really describe it. It’s like being in the presence of an angel. I got very emotional. She is very kind, down to earth and LOVES her fans. This is one of my favorite and most underrated songs of hers. I used to play it on repeat in my car. I’ve been blessed to see her many times, with FM and solo. I’ve always been obsessed with her fashion sense. She’s more beautiful today than she was in the 70’s - and she has ALWAYS been stunning. Beautiful inside and out 💜

Hard to imagine a shaman getting hooked on blow, but I never heard anything about her rehabbing. Having detoxed myself, my ears tend to perk up at hearing celebs joining the club, but it seems Ms. Nicks did it the same way I did booze, do it ALL until you don't want anymore, then kick. I don't know how many women Stevie helped me seduce, but it was definitely a non-single-digit number, bless her.

When I was in high school in the late 80s, we would sometimes drive past a gorgeous home owned by Stevie Nicks. It sat at the base of Camelback Mountain, just off of Invergordon Street in Scottsdale, AZ. On weekend nights, we would often sit in the car at the top of the mountain, listening to Fleetwood Mac, looking out at the see of lights below coming in from Phoenix. Such a magical time. We used to dream about what life would be like when we got older. Now I just wish we could go back to that time in life.

I’ve heard it said that if you think the only good music was made when you were young, you’re not a fan of music, you’re a fan of nostalgia. When I hear this song, I think there’s something to that. While it’s a very beautiful song, the nostalgia factor is huge. I graduated high school in 1989 when this song was a hit and I can feel all those feelings all over again if I close my eyes, it’s almost like being there again. I simply cannot believe that 35 years have passed since I was that 17 year old kid.

I can see how that would be as well as your mention of spiritual enlightenment being a key element of Stevie's songs. I know this is a particularly haunting song. The song according to Stevie is about herself in the sense that it's about a girl who goes through life like she did and accepts that she will never get married or have children and that the rest of her life will play out without those in it. But I believe it is also more deeply about her brief and surreal relationship with her producer Rupert Hines and how he had a charisma unlike anyone else that affected Stevie so much.
@LiquidDrumnBreaks2 жыл бұрын
@@vinaymulukutla358 Wow nice! Your description fits that of the surrender phase of the Twin Flame Journey. Anyone who has experienced it and the subsequent awakening will resonate with the lyrics because they are so on point! "if I do say so myself" refers to the fact that your twin flame *IS* you "I've known this much longer that I've known you" you know about your twin flame from your dreams before you encounter them in the 3d "long nets of white cloud my memory" we are all asleep until we spiritually awaken, and meeting the twin flame can be a catalyst for lifting the shroud of amnesia we incarnate with.

Once upon a time not so long ago when my ex-boyfriend rammed into my car on the top end of the highway of tears and I still had to drive all the way back down to Vancouver Island I did so 25 hours with the song playing over and over and over and over and I didn't sleep because of the PTSD from that and the other things we had been through and somehow I'm not scared by the song every time I hear it it brings me power

My mom told me when I was about 10-11 years old that a good song has to have melody. Later I discovered she was so right. It didn't matter what era of music it is, whether it was in her time or mine. This has a GREAT and awesome melody.

I was born in 1983. When I was younger in the 80’s I was constantly exposed to this beautiful music through my parents. Now years later, the 80’s music in general and especially Stevie Nicks songs and music have defined me. This music will always have a special place in my heart. Rooms On Fire may not be the most popular from Stevie Nicks, but will always be my Favourite. Thank you Stevie. 👍🏻

@@barbg1023 ...And I wasn't even old enough in the 80's to appreciate Stevie in real time. I was just a little kid then and I don't remember if I ever heard any of her songs back then. (I do remember hearing Journey, The Bengals, Tears for Fears, Hall + Oates)... My "Stevie journey" started very recently when I saw a 2019 Fleetwood Mac concert on TV.. it blew my mind in the best of ways... starting the very next day and lasting for about a month I obsessively spent approximately 25 hours a day listening to FM / Stevie Nicks songs on MeTube... Fast forward to present day.. I am now a superfan. Everyone has the right to their opinion and there are different strokes for different folks and all that jazz, but Nicks is the exception to that rule-- it's a Universal Fact that she is the greatest musician of all time and anyone who doesn't know that is far behind and I feel sorry for them. 😁😁😁
