SRV so precise and fast in this -- not easy playing with Stevie Wonder's jaw-dropping synthesizer and musical timing and BrownMark's bass. They're all simply phenomenal... They have so much music in their very souls that it just pours out. I can't believe how many people are milling around to fix the tech just right. And it's the artists who make it work -- they have supernatural hearing.

Talk about Pure Musical Joy (PMJ). There's a lot of "dross" and downtime in this video with stage hands helping the musicians get their instruments prepared for recording, I think. But, wow!, when you see the two Stevies trading licks it's all worth it. I actually love the rawness of this piece. Thank you for no edits! Watching stuff like this just reminds me what a loss we suffered when SRV taken from us. God has His timing and ways, but I sure wish Stevie Ray Vaughn was still with us.
@damonjohnson83378 жыл бұрын
I couldn't agree more. This raw footage is stellar. I love how SRV occasionally looks over to SW with the biggest smile on his face. You can surely tell that SRV is having a blast jamming with one of his favorite artists and I love that. I sure do miss him too and I wish he were still with us.
@davidfowler764 жыл бұрын
No doubt. I agree. I was born in 1991 unfortunately and missed him being here with us but there isn’t anything I haven’t seen or read with SRV. He crosses my mind at least once a day can’t go a few hours without putting on Lenny or him jamming with Albert king. He’s why I learned to half ass play guitar. One of a kind there will never and I mean ever be another Stevie. If he’s impacted my life this much without being on earth I could only imagine going to a live show. I would cut off one of my hands no questions asked to go back in time and revel in the greatness

Epic footage, choice vid cheers. I never got to see SRV but I saw Stevie Wonder backed up by Legendary Aussie larrikin and singer songwriter Jon Farnham band in 1981. The power of both artists voices was astonishing. They performed a duo singing together. But when Stevie Wonders roadies wheeled out a drum kit on a small platform on castor wheels,we thinking what's going on? Then they walk out Stevie Wonder to the said drum kit and he blows 8000 people's minds with incredible drumming,man what show that was. 👍🍻🦘🇦🇺

Isn't it just the drum track pre-recorded by Stevie? They appear to be singing and playing for real, and at one point after a take of the Superstition dress rehearsal Jody is embarrassed because she had forgotten the words during that take. Stevie Ray's vocal takes sound different as well, or are you referring to Come Baby Let Your Love Come Down when it's only the two legends?
