I can't express how much I love this animation. My favorite details are the amazing transitions (human silhouette to a whale one on that sign, smoking chimneys to lit cigars that the hogs are celebrating with, the ink from the polar bear's pen turning into the polluted, rising ocean, among others) and the thoughtful touches, like the fact that the orangutan that's demolishing human families has a picture of his own family in the cabin, bear having human slippers, the child expressing interest in the issue whilw the adults do not...man, this is an immensely rewatchable masterpiece, as well as the music being an absolute banger.

Some Easter eggs I found: 0:15: billboards advertising “Type 2” soft drink shown later in the video, reference to coco cola and type 2 diabetes 0:27: cigarettes on the car dashboard named “Deth Stix” 0:35: the polar bear is watching polar bear porn at work 0:36: “human thighs and drumsticks” advertised on a sign in the background 1:14: the orangutan has a pinned up photo of his family - which is a disturbing contrast to his lack of compassion for the human family he is about to destroy the home of 1:23: most of the humans in the shot have postures of birds, which is of course what they represent 1:29: the only things in color are the child bear’s toys 1:32: the papa bear has human smiling slippers 1:34: the newspaper is called “the unsavory daily”, and talks about growing wealth inequality and blaming immigrants for everything 1:36: the humans resemble penguins, which they are supposed to represent 2:08: the cat is stroking a human pet on their lap 2:28: still not sure what the helicopters represent, maybe the healthcare system which seems like it can save these people, but they just keep consuming until the point where even the healthcare system can’t save them? Thoughts? 2:31: “a taste for the new generation” it’s about taste, not nutrition. Also pointing out how advertisers often target young people so they can get them addicted as early as possible. 2:40: juxtaposing overweight, gluttonous rich “pigs” with starving humans, showing the unnecessary imbalance in food consumption. 3:15: children learning about humans in an artificial, curated setting which doesn’t show the humans suffering or story of how the animals were the ones that drove them extinct in the first place. 3:21: and here we are, continuing to live our normal lives, after we finish watching the video.
