That last verse won "Verse of the Decade" I think. It shows how self-aware Eminem actually is. He knows that he goes off the handle at the wrong people, has double standards, regrets in his career. He's basically saying "I'm human and I've made mistakes, and I know I'm going to have to face all of the consequences for them." Being able to be that vulnerable on a track at the same time you're lyrically demolishing it is a feat to behold.

The last 2 minutes of the song is Slim-Shady Confronting Marshal Mathers about things Marshal has subconsciously been ignoring. "I'm your karma closing in with each stroke of a pen" "I'm the bullys you hate, that you became" "Marshal Mathers the rappers persona's half a facade" This is Slim-Shady Confronting Marshal Mathers. Marshal created Slim-Shady to be the foul-mouthed, offensive, overly aggressive, crazied rapper that would never give a Fuk about what anyone's feelings or opinions and as a result all the blame of offensive lyrics, homophobic lines and morally wrong statements would lie on Slim-Shady. So no matter how offensive and controversial the songs were Slim-Shady was who got blamed not Marshal. But the last 2 minutes was Slim-Shady telling Marshal "You know the truth". Marshal knew deep down that He himself was the one saying these things no slim. All of those pop stars and rappers that Slim-Shady bullied back in the early 2000s was Marshals doing even if it was Slim-Shady that took the blame. Slim-Shady is telling Marshal that the voice in the back of Marshals head that whispers "you have no conscious" is shadys voice. Marshal has been having thoughts revolving around the fact that he doesnt have much time left in the rap game but Marshal has been ignoring it. Now Slim-Shady is saying that HE is the one that has been giving Marshal those thoughts and he adds that Marshal will become the laughingstock of Rap if he doesnt walk away soon. *This is some very intricate Storytelling Skills, as well as the mood he sets with his tone, and There are only a small number of Humans that are This Creatively Gifted and have perfected their Art enough to create something this special. I mean he just literally Rapped a Internal Dialogue between himself and his alter-ego about the most sensitive Emotions and contemplations a person can have and to top it off the story is viewed from INSIDE OF HIS CONSCIOUSNESS!! * Marshal Mathers is one of the TOP5 Artists/Poets to ever live.

That verse runs way deeper than 99/100 people conceive it. I just wanted to explain it so people could appreciate the level of creativity,Artistry , and how incredibly humble a person must be to not only understand this about oneself but to make that public. These are probably the most secretive and personal feelings that Marshal has been bothered by for 20+ years. I doubt he has ever spoken to his wife, daughters, or even his closest friends about these feelings and then to give this vulnerability to the world shows incredible bravery and Humility. He is the ideal role model for teenagers and adults alike.

“Bad Guy” is a sequel to Eminem’s song “Stan”, which was released as a single from The Marshall Mathers LP. “Stan” is about a crazed fan who kills himself, his girlfriend and their unborn child because of the “lack of attention” Eminem paid to him as a fan. Bad Guy is about Stan’s little brother, Matthew, who loved his brother more than anything. Matthew Mitchell is all grown-up now, and is seeking revenge for Stan’s death.

This is definitely one of the best reaction videos I've seen on Eminem hands down!!! I feel like you're starting to see why Stans are so loyal and defend Eminem ferociously. Because we've all known this about Eminem, we all know how lyrically insane he is, we all know how great of a storyteller he is, and above all how humble he is as a person and gives credit to other artists as far as being top five. And it's like you say all the time, people who hate on Eminem and say he's not dope clearly have not took the time and effort to go through his catalog and listen. It's a shame but I'm happy to see you go through his catalog and in your own way start to become a Stan 😂. Not a Stan as in being obsessive but truly appreciating the artist, the art form and the pure genius that is Eminem.

@Bizeecentral4 жыл бұрын
@@FreakishlyUNeek prob was obsessive to make being a stan to him true in a way.I see stan as being the type of person em portrayed in the music video. if you just really like him and his music and what he does, big fan. if you take it too far and start immortalizing him, might be crossing into stan territory

@@Bizeecentral like I said it's all on how you interpret "Stan"

@@FreakishlyUNeek True, i just wouldn't define it as anything the video didn't portray, Stan tends to have a negative connotation to it, not a compliment. Could make it that way but thats what haters do all the time im seeing, using the term stan loosely and not keeping it to the definition. If your not over obsessive and taking fandom too far, i wouldn't call someone a stan. I take back the immortalizing thing as my definition of stan. Its anyone whos obsessive, takes fandom too far, and gets emotionally defensive and violent over him, virtually or in person. Immortalizing someone is something we do to anyone we are a fan of when they are our favorite so i'd classify that as a step above a big fan but not a stan, being your favorite xD

He made multiple references to other songs and lyrics in here too. The lightning in a bottle and the chauvinist Pig line for example. Plus this was an intro track to his MMLP2 album which sets off the tone.

That would be me. Wu tang, tribe, beasties and p.e. was my go to in the 80s/90s. Always liked ems songs but was never really a fan. When Godzilla had people losing their minds i started watching the reactions from no life shaq and in the clutch which lead me to Stevie. And fuck me, my eyes are now open.

I always thought he was good with the bars I did catch and understand but now having more knowledge myself of the culture and watching Stevie go back to a lot of older stuff and his knowledge and breakdowns has made me really really appreciate how insanely talented he is, especially all the wordplay double entendres and triples, I’m a sucker for those and missed so many so this journey is the best thing in lockdown. Stevie kills it

I have waited so long to hear and see you react to this song! It is in my top 5 maybe top 3, it is insane that one man can be this talented. The one thing I have always loved and respected about Eminem is his ability to be such a great story teller. You can close you eyes and just listen and see everything that is happening. Story tellers like Em are so few and far between. Much love to you and how well you break down songs, watching you is almost like hearing them for the first time for me. Been waiting FOREVER!!!! I wanted to see that face when that last verse started. Undeniably one of the sickest moments in music. The dramatic buildup in the music, the cadence, and the brutal self honest reflection. I get tingles EVERY time I hear this. Everything stops and I zone completely in. I was honestly scared when that got released because it sounded like he was on the edge of pulling the plug. So glad you finally did this one tho

Yo stevie ever noticed how all the songs on each of EMINEM albums line up with each other? It's like a movie scheme except you listen to how they flow into each other perfectly... it's a ploy how he plots the beats like street lights in his neighborhood. The music rides your brain like pegasus; it's not gonna be easily forgotten. .

@@robert_5974 every reference em makes on the MMLP2 is from the perspective that 13 years have passed. On Criminal on MMLP1 he says on the last verse "die bitches, bastards, brats, pets. This puppy's lucky I didn't blast his ass yet" Then on Parking Lot (Skit) on MMLP2 it takes place right after criminal finishes when he shoots the teller he's robbing, then when running away you can hear a full grown dog barking at em, at which point em shoots the dog. (since it's not a puppy anymore)
