One thing that will help with getting more time to mine is to continue investing in Studio … err … District 56. You can gradually increase the amount of time you can spend in the MU. So between ship/crew/56 you can get up your mining.

84 has token space rules and we all consider what it takes to get inside mirror space as a token so no shooting players here.

I don't buy ships, this one definitely won't change that.

Buying the ship isn't the issue, all the one trick pony ships is. Like the Borg cube that has all these crazy level locks, or the Monaveen with its tier 6 lock until ops 51. Scopley needs to really be up front with what you are able to do and how high you can take it before I spend my money anymore.

It has been reported (I forget if Lewb or Tiberius) that although you revive, you still lose all of your cargo if you die in MU space. Mind checking? It looks like you bought the ship.

Great question! I tested it tonight and even though I used the omega drive I still kept the loot from the hostiles and the loot boxes. Both went into my inventory correctly.

I used the Omega Drive and it kept me alive hitting hostiles till time ran out.. it kept my loot too🤩

Save for mining in mirror space. I honestly regret spending on it. This ship falls flat 3 days in, but i could be misusing it.

I think it is falls flat at low tiers but I am hoping with the increased mining speed that it will become a good ship eventually. The ship also gives more mirror dust for research so I think that is a helpful thing. But once again….it will take take time to level it before we see a lot more potential.

@GrandAdmiralHunter I can get a double pulls worth (11k at t1) in 20 minutes of mirror time. So it's worth that but needs to be better sourcing for parts

​@@scotlinaskew6486I tripled my loot per run, so my research tree and refinery pulls are a lot better than when I didn't have it. Imho, I have no regrets buying this ship early.. i intend to maximize my tier ups while berylium is still at event stores.. Hopefully it will be decently tiered to be an efficient all around grinder

They got you, to me the ship is a one trick pony it will only help in the MU and it will be somewhat better than other ships just because it opens up that other space. The research is not that great, efficiencies on things that have efficiencies already or make the ship a little better. I will get it F2P and that will be good enough for me. I hope you enjoy it while it is useful, I just hope it is not a mantis.

Im a Baby Ops L41 Player.. And now playing around L40-50 systems.. My Strongest ship was the Monaveen and it has adequate warp range.. I bought Nsea Protector, and it is now my Go to Ship.. I am seeing this to be a good "grinder" in all the new systems, and it seems able to help my game immensely since it can help me progress in my game, till i am able to get the 4G Fkr ships.. What do you think?

I have not compared this with other ships in that range but I think that is a great point of view! It will eventually give you a decent warp range and it most likely will help you do dailies and hitting of hostiles. It would be interesting to see how well it holds up against FKR hostiles. As you level it and use it to grind hostiles I would love to hear from you again to hear how well it helps you bridge the gap between where you are now and getting to the 4g ships. Thanks for replying!! I am having a grand time with NSEA Protector as it has supplanted my augur, D4 and Ent as a Dailies Grinder, it works very well in All kinds of WD, and works just as well ( and faster) in Gorn space.. I havent tried it yet in upper level swarm space, and I suspect it's gonna make Franklin-A a run for her money..

NSEA Protector can take on L49 swarms, L52 Jem Haddars.. I guess this makes it my Official Grinder💪💪💪

I would just like to Add, My Nsea Protector has helped breach the L40 Xindi reptiles, and L44 silent Ship, so, it truly is for me, my All-around ship now. 💪💪💪

What is the best crew for this ship...especially captain

So far, when I mine I have been using e-riker as captain for extra impulse speed so when I get to a node I have more time to mine. I still have not filled up my cargo so no need for a cargo boosting crew. Also a mining crew will hardly impact your mining speed at all. Also, when I hit hostiles I have been using janeway crew (JANEWAY/emh doc/torres) since it seems to allow me to kill more hostiles. I assume with research and tiers on my ship that I will be able to switch to a loot crew. I just barely unlocked nesmith (Tim Allen) and have not had much time to test with him. In short, these are my initial thoughts but you may have to adjust them as you tier the ship and depending on what you are doing with the ship.
