Still my favorite Quick Game Play. I can't wait to work the "new" Stick/Corner combo I learned from Coach Napier.

@@CoachJoeSalas It's kinda revolutionary in my mind. Napier really helped me think it through and shrink the playbook. You have to check out my "Seven Samurai" Video and see what I'm talking about kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZOTqp9sd7SHb8U

Thanks again coach! I would really love a tutorial on going fast. We were able to do it this season with our core concepts (stick, corner, 6) but I struggle to understand how to stay fast when I want to call motions and tags... would love to know how u do it efficiently and in a way to do more than just base plays.

Matt Lasker we are like you. We can go super fast but not with motion or fancy tags. I know Oregon back in the day could go fast with motion but I don’t know how to do it yet. Let me know your ideas👊

Coach Joe Salas that makes me feel better that it’s not just me 🤣 The only other item that we truly struggled with was Pass Pro. We face a ton of 5 man bear fronts so it’s basically 5v5 up front... with the RB in most of the passing routes, much of the time as a part of the if/then progression, it was especially tough in Ace formation. Do you use a counting system for pass pro? Half slide? How do you teach the RBs to read and block it? Thanks again for sharing all the knowledge!

Matt Lasker let me see if I understand. Big on big with RB double checking inside LB’s. Could bring H into backfield to check his side LB. I would throw quick game until you feel confident with pass pro. Yes we number to teach. But bear is just an odd front to us. Use your man killers to back them up.

Coach, do all your routes work off if “steps” rather than yardage? So 5 steps instead of 5 yards?
@CoachJoeSalas2 жыл бұрын
Yes we use steps but not a big deal if you like yards better
