Great video, followed along as I repaired both my 80mm f2.8 and my 65mm f3.5. Very helpful and clearly filmed. Not too bad a job, easy to do along with the video. Found the screws on the little clockwork motor were in very tight. Hard to remove without chewing, required a lot of pressure. Both lenses now working really well. Also used feeler gauges to measure the clearance to the body; easier to measure and set accurately than with callipers. Thanks!

Thank you Kenneth for another great repair video ! This time it saved my 180mm 4.5 lens, different lens but same mechanism. I had it apart already, cleaned the slow unit with lighter fluid, stumbled over the same issues as you when trying to put it back together again. But it did'nt help. After watching your video, I just now disassambled it again (Now knowing how to) and applied the thin oil in the places where you did. Cleaned the glass as well and what shall I say ... it now works perfectly again. This is not the first time that your videos saved one of my lenses. Thank you so much for putting the effort in to share your knowledge with us ! 🙏👏

Excellent video. I don’t know that I will need to service my Mamiya C330 lens, but if I do, I’ll watch your video several times and give it a try. Thanks!

Thanks for a well-done video! I just purchased a Mamiya C220 and this video will sure come in handy if I get any second-hand lenses that need some TLC.

Thanks Mike for taking your time showing us how you fixed that part of the lens. I wish you could help showing us a little more on what to do if releasing the shutter lever doesn't operate the leaf shutter at all. Pleaseeee

I have just made another film about the older 80mm 1:2.8 lens for the Mamiya C220/C330/C33....etc.. Here you can see it: kzbin.info?o=U&video_id=efYEG2Xt9G0

Thank you. I just bought a Mamiya C220 TLR Camera and the shutter is slow around the 1 to 4 marks, exactly as you've detailed.

These were the lenses for the interchangeable lens TLRs (twin lens reflex) produced by Mamiya in the 1970s. I still have my C220!

Hi Kenneth. Thanks for the video. I tried to repair my lens, which was running about 1.3x too slow, according to your guide, and I somehow made it worse? Can you explain how to adjust the timing with those two screws? I can’t get the slow gear to sit any differently when adjusting them. Any other tips?

I've found a video to reapir everything on a C330 Mamiya except for the black shutter switch on the side that fires the shutter. It's stuck and the metal bar it's on won't slide downward. I can't figure out why and nobody has posted a video showing how to unstuck it. Can you post one or give me a tip on how to fix this? thank you.

I have a 80mm f3.7 copal lens with a slow/sticking shutter. Can you tell me how to get at the shutter mechanism so I can clean it or provide a link to where I can download a manual. There aren't any screws to loosen the lens barrel & I'm reluctant to torque on the lens to see if it will unscrew.

Hey Mike, great video thaks for sharing. So i made myself with a Mamiya C220 with a Mamiya Sekor 65 mm 1:35 Seikosha- S, and the long speeds are not working well, kind of the same problem but instead of being too long, its getting too fast. I live in Ecuador and i dont know anybody here that can repair this!! so i need HELP. Its kind of the same process? What could be the problem and what i have to do? Thankd you so much.
@mikeno624 жыл бұрын
If the slow speed are too fast it would be the same way to fix it, if it was too slow, you will need to move the slow gear a little 1/10mm or so to one side or the other, to adjust the slow speed. Of course there could also be other issues with it.

Hi, Mike! I've a 80mm lens (seiko). The way i do to remove the front of the taking lens is the same of the older 80mm (seikosha)? Thanks!!!

this works on the mamiyaflex c2?
@randywaldron27152 жыл бұрын
The lens will work on a C2, but yours camera may or may not have a distance scale for the 65. This lens came out in the middle of the C2 's run and early examples lacked the appropriate scale. Incidentally, the scale for the 65 is grafted onto the 80mm distance scale only inscribed in red. It's easy enough to check your camera
