This chainsaw worked well to cut up a pile of cedar logs kzbin.infoUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and stumps. I used it to cut 12"-16" diameter logs and a handful of odd-shaped stumps that were larger in diameter. There was more than enough power even when using 2x100' extension cords. Be sure to use the right gauge extension cord, since you should be using a slightly higher gauge cord than the standard extension cord most folks have around the house. My 2 favorite features of this saw over previous ones I've used are the built-in sharpener and the quick stop after the the throttle is released compared to a gas-powered chainsaw. As soon as you release the trigger, the chain stops spinning immediately because of the electric motor. Standard feature of most of these electric chainsaws, but worth mentioning here for anyone not familiar with it.Bottom line...I needed a chainsaw to get through some backyard cleanup of logs and tree stumps. For the price of renting a chainsaw for a few days, I got this Oregon chainsaw that got the work done, and now I own it for future use.

I've used a Stihl MS211 for 15 years up here in interior Alaska...no problems. I sharpen chains with Granberg file jig, rotate the bar and clean the channel after each 40 hours of use.

Thanks for posting, I have had a stihl 362 for many years that just died, I also don't care for the fuel and oil caps.

I bought a MS211 (minus the fancy chain tensioner thing) and it has done nothing but impress me with what itll do for its size.

Hey mate we met in the watagans a little while back (I was camping with my mate and both of us had 80s) but sick to see this video randomly popup in my feed!

Yes I remember you. Hope the 80s are going well.

I got the regular 211 because I didnt like the extra plastic bit moving to tension, just seemed like something that could fail. Otherwise it's a damn good saw.

anyone know how to ensure the oil pump is seated perfectly (at the correct depth) so its discharge hole lines up w/ the hole that receives the lube? most videos on installing a stihl oil pump say to push it in until it won't go any further but on the ms211 this rule doesn't seem to apply.

Not sure why people don't like the oil and gas caps on the 211c or other Stihl saws with the flipper thingee. I have had the regular twist caps loosen after I thought I'd had them tightened up well, to where I used a screwdriver on them to make sure they were tightened securely. Never a doubt on the flip cap.

I’ve had the flip cap come out also. However I must admit they are growing on me
@FryChicken Жыл бұрын
@@blackllama1 The trick is you push them in, *then* turn.

The people that don't like the flip cap simply don't know how to operate things.

I'm from the Midwest w lots of large hardwoods around. I have an ms211 with an 18 in bar I wish I had got a larger power head.
@blackllama12 жыл бұрын
Yes for cutting lots of hardwood a larger saw would be better this is great for a bit of firewood and track clearing
