I found this information after you produced this video from a Stihl manual. "The swiveling tool rest comes set up for .058” and .063” gauge drivers. To sharpen chain with a gauge of .043” or .050”, a shim and washers must be added to center the chain and clamp it tightly. You will need to remove the clamping lever, and both plates. There are two .036” thick washers, part number 0000 958 0600, between the plates. Save them to reinstall if you change back." I currently have 2 Stihl saws, MS271 and MS261C, with .063 drive links. The above manual also suggests, "If you plan on having one USG sharpener to do all your chain sharpening needs, an additional swiveling tool rest can be purchased, so you can have one set up with the shim, and one without." Now in America Stihl has made available .050 drive links on the .325 pitch chains. I may just replace the guide bars and sprockets to .050 and leave the vice setup to accept .050 only. All my other saws, MS241C, MS400C, and 500i are .050 drive links. Thank you again for all your information on grinder related issues.

Good Morning. Would you make a video explaining the angles in the last column of Stihl USG chart #0457 716 0000. The grind angles (A-B-C) and settings are the same for for RS and RM chains. The degrees for RS and RM chains are different in the last column. I'm thinking those degrees are the end product of each complete grind if done correctly. Checks and balances. Thanks

Are wheels on Stihl USG bidirectional? Does it matter if not?
