The craziest thing about the 07 is that technically, its built on the bones of the previous cost capped LMP2: The Oreca 05 (which itself was run by Rebellion in LMP1 as the R1). Any customer that ran this car and wanted the new car could simply have it upgraded to the new car since so many of the internals were relatively the same.

Is oreca no longer collaborating with toyota? They helped run the LMP1 cars until 2020 as far as I know

The hypercar rules also brought with it a reduction of personnel in the team. And after 8 years they ended the partnership. All on good terms off course
