It's crazy how people don't know what interest is, I work in fraud at a bank and literally had someone call in because they saw the interest rate on their bill and thought someone charged to their card, then once I explained what it was, they said they thought interest meant they got that money back, like a cash back reward.... @@mattjingles5758 I can sort of see where that could happen for people who don't have English as their first language. I do the cash envelope exclusively with larger purchases and nights out with friends and things that I want to be able to freely spend money on, and it's allowed me to save a significant percentage pump more on a monthly basis because having something tangible in front of me has me think on the decision more. These kids just want to laugh it all off. And yes, they're still kids. Even in your twenties you're still learning so much about life. They've put themselves in massive debt and don't understand what that will do to them. I DID IT TO MYSELF TOO. $50k student loans $8k 1st card $2k 2nd card $5k 3rd card That was 10 years ago and I didn't start waking up to what I put myself into until 5 or so years ago. Student loan is down to $25k $8k is down to $6k $2k is gone $5k is $2500 I have learned to budget. I got better at cooking. I plan to get more than 1 meal out of what I cook. I cut subscriptions. I even cut how often I get my hair cut. I eat out less and order water more. This debt can hang on you for half your life. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Listen to him at least on getting rid of all the insane debt. It's one thing to have $15k in student loans and $1500 on a credit card, but that's not the average person he speaks with.

@@Daveraide selfishly you can argue that eventually we all pay for their healthcare. Altruistically you can argue that as a community we should want the best for each other. Two kinds of bad friends: the ones who yell to everyone else you have spinach in your teeth or a booger in your nose, and the ones who never say anything at all. He should take better care of his health, and it’s not wrong for us - his fans - to care about him.

I don’t know this woman but my gut says she’s not going to listen or take any of this good advice. People like that have to pass rock bottom and hit financial hell before they try to pull themselves out.

What's sad is he is the best case when Caleb talks to these "children". None of these people are adults and are simply immature beyond belief. This new generation wants to believe the whole world is falling apart because of everyone else yet they lack the maturity to look in the mirror.

You’re still losing money (technically buying power) due to inflation. Get a high yield savings account at least or better yet throw that money into an investment that will beat inflation on average.

@@handsvsfood2781 you should be high yield everything right now. In my opinion. My ira is up 28%, brokerage acc up 20%. And just went high yield in my 401k that is matched 1:1 up to 5%
