⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤔 The revolving stage you noticed was at Tokyo Dome. They've also had a revolving stage for Budokan concerts. 'YAVA!' is one of my favorite tracks from the Metal Resistance album. And some of my favorite BABYMETAL choreography. There are groups that have spent years trying to make sludgy ska metal sound good, and BABYMETAL pulls it off the first time. And then moved on to the next thing. : ) Even with the translation it's hard to know exactly what this song is about. As Du-Metal says on his translation page, "The meaning of the lyrics is vague, obscure & ambiguous."

I love this song because I love the SKA genre. YAVA fuses SKA and Metal. Very underrated song cos, not many reactors react to this. Some in the Metal community didn't even knew that the SKA genre existed unless you listen to No Doubt and other bands that play the SKA genre. The Kami Band is brilliant and brutal. Enjoy your reaction. Thanks for reacting to this. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬

Since I really dig this song, do you have any recommendations for someone new to SKA? And take note that I prefer Babymetal's Pop side rather than the Metal ahahah
@ClawCarver3 жыл бұрын
@@BlackArr0w I hope it's not rude to jump in here. There are several eras and styles of ska. The original 1960s Jamaican stuff is classic. The UK "2 Tone" scene (The Selecter, The Specials, early Madness, etc.) was the soundtrack of my youth. One of the best and most energetic ska bands in the world today (in my opinion) is from... Japan! Check out Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra - "Skaravan" (Live) and see what you think. If you like it, try their video for "Hammerhead". Enjoy!
@safrisaleh4123 жыл бұрын
@@BlackArr0w I can list a few but I think there are fans who know better. 1. Reel Big Fish - Sell Out (1996) 2. Mighty Mighty Bosstone - The Impression That I Get (1997) 3. Suicide Machines - Skankin' Pickle - Song #3 (1997) 4. Kemuri (Japanese Ska Band) - Positive Mental Attitude (P.M.A) (1998) 5. The Pietasters - Out All Night (1997) 6. Spring Heeled Jack - Jolene (1998) 7. Slapstick - Eighteen (1997) 8. Rancid - Time Bomb (1995) 9. Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra from Japan - Skaravan. This are from the 90s mainly because I was born in the 70s. Hope this will help. Love from Singapore 🇸🇬.

I put YAVA (translated as OMG) together with Awadama Fever as I think they are both about difference and not necessarily being confined by other people's expectations. The YAVA lyrics mention "different" over 20 times. Is it about Babymetal and their music being different, Moa and Yui being different even though people seem to think they are twins or just about clothes?...who knows? What it is, is some up tempo metal/ska and a lot of fun with some great choreography and a really heavy breakdown. The Kami intro takes the song over the top.
